Cause we didn't join up with a team form the Clare League maybe?

And its been a very long time since we played in that league?

long time since park played in clare league .. and as far as i am aware newtown were disbanded and did not join up with park  and cause ye are also a shannon team based in county clare so should clare league not then be entitled to try and get you back

newtown folded into the park set up....so yes they disbanded. Park took those wthat wanted to join in and some went elsewhere....
Park are looking at chaging their name to suit all players/members etc...
The only way park/hibs will have to play clare league if the fai bring out a rule saying all teams must play in the county they reside......but that will never happen

Someone better tell the ladies that talking to 2 of them over weekend they said they play for newtown. But if that's what the site says it must be gospel

hacker looks like the ladies are indeed still flying the newtown flag 2 match reports in clare courier today ... :ball:

I know this debate has arisen before but will the day of playing in the clare junior league ever change? I think if you asked the players of the Clare league. The majority of them would rather play on a Saturday morning rather than a Sunday. What is the reason for playing on a Sunday? Is it to accomodate the Gaa?

I'd say it has something to do with not having enough refs, School boy/girls play Saturdays so maybe that is the reason. Some adults work Saturdays aswell.

no thats not true.. i heard he will be stayn wit newmarket A this year,.. i hear that the left midfielder from newmarket is headin back into limerick this year.. on the volley i couldn tell you sorry wrong fella to ask there but i dont think there is any need for stupid talk like that on this site and as for the rumour about colum treacy its prob true because the lad has had more clubs then tiger woods he just cant seem to settle at any club he plays for lets just leave it there

ok not directly, but it dooes look like you were havin a sly dig at b team football. the majority of b teams in clare wud give the premier sides a good run for their money so anyone slagging b team just look at lifford b

What injury has he sustained? If he is then its a major blow for newmarket. Sure what will they do next year lik? The man has played at the hightest level of junior football. Pat Scully was begging him to come back but he said: "No Pat! I want to win something!!" He is a driven sports man. Hope its not longterm!

Yes it is true. on the CDSL web site. They are not fielding a team next season see below

"Last season's beaten Prego Menswear Clare Cup finalist Lifford B will not be entering a team in next season's Clare League. The club have confirmed this in a letter to the League on Friday. Lifford's place in the First Division will be filled by Kilrush Rangers who lost in a play-off to Sporting Ennistymon. Manus Celtic A who lost to Kilkishen Celtic in the Second Division play-off will also be re-instated in the Second Division.
Its not all bad news for the Clare League with Ruan, Creag Celtic from Kilfenora and Ennis Town all planning on entering new teams in the Clare League next season"

Wonder where all the good players are going ?

terrible shame for lifford they had a decent b team and club seemed to be moving forward on & off the pitch .. but something has gone wrong somewere if a succesfull team / players deceide to move on or pack it in
