i doubt the clare teams will do much in the fai this year. for example, bunratty lost to a limerick 2A side, athlunkard villa, in bunratty, in pre-season 4-2. could've been more. i here lifford are handy though

Exactly, a pre-season game of no importance. I would predict a different score if it was a competitive game.

bad start to the season for last years champions, two defeats out of 3 now for newmarket after yesterdays game, is it too early to write them off holding onto their trophy?

Yes, way too early. a few new additions i hear, so write them off at your peril, at your peril i say.

Anyone know if tonights games have been called off yet? No update on claresoccer.com but I can't see too many going ahead with the weather we're having today.

Corofin vs Burren off and I assume all games will be called off.

Can't understand why games could not have been called off after last nights rain. Limerick games called off first thing this morning.

Bunratty vs Newmarket still on.
Referee inspected pitch at 2.30 and deemed it playable. A lot of rainfall since though so things may yet change.

Bunratty 1-2 Newmarket
Davy Ryan with a brace to get Newmarket back on track

only 2 games went ahead 2nite
bunratty 1 newmarket 2
rineanna 1 lifford 0
Another 3 good points for you Hacker. The top table is beginning to have a realistic look about it. Newmarket back on track again after their two defeats. Lifford losing two on the bounce after all the hype after they beat Newmarket but still a very good footballing side. Bunratty have to be strong contenders, even after their narrow defeat to NC.
But your crowd are the real dark horses with not much fuss or trumpet blowing coming from Rinnaenna.

Anyone ever heard of the 3 red card rule - is there any truth that if you rec 3 reds in a season that you are suspended for the rest of the season

mercenaries - how many clubs have these guys been with this season has barely started and this is going on already - no staying power / commitment - dodgy signings !

ya your better off having players committed to the club that you know that you can count on rather than players who could be moving on again the next time the transfer window opens if things aren't going their way

There is a reason why they have left for Newmarket, do you know the reason or are you just on here to give your opinion on something you have no clue about. I don't think that players just decided to pack up and go for nowt

Right when have you seen Rineanna playing with Skinny in goal and Jimmy up front.
And the word is their keeper , if you are going to accuse me of talking crap please use the correct words to make your already weak argument a little more plausible. If you want to debate the issue with me feel free , I have given my opinion.

I see you have taken your insults to PM , maybe you want to take it a little further and we can discuss more openly.

Yes I am a Newmarket man. But don't come on here and insult me. You can disagree with me , that is your entitlement but don't insult me . Now if you would care to get back to talking football I will happily point out where your opinion is wrong.

If something happened and they decided to move on whats the problem? Rineanna seem to be doing better without them...

But if something happened, now, at the start of the season, how could it be the wrong decision. It happens all the time, Players leave, its up to them what they think is right for them, plus, Not many players would stay if they weren't happy. End of.

can somebody please explain why the clare league fix matches on same night as irish world cup matches ... yet the very same clare league when all ireland hurling / football finals are on can rearrange all games for morning or evening kickoffs so as to not clash with gaa..:mad:

Skinny and Jimmy . No and no;)
I disagree, Jimmy is worth 10 goals a season but then skinny balances the books on that count:D
only joking...if they are comitted they will definately strengthen celtics squad. Jimmy could score a lot of goals in that team.

i can only understand whese players want out after wat i have seen so far this season no discipline watsoever and the way they play is so poor. god it was painful watching their game with lifford who tried to play inventive football, as well their pitch should not be allowed used in a tiddly winks competition..http://foot.ie/images/icons/icon4.gif

give us your unbiased opinion so..if you know what that word means..
ok i'll start it for you 1st avenue 2nd ????
its obvious that avenue will be on most of our list for favourites. 100% record and they are scoring goals for fun, watched there games against corofin and lifford, they look very impressive, but they always fade away in the concluding stages even though i heard the have been doing some serious pre season training so i will not doubt them to take the honours this season,, their main rivals will be bunratty who have been showing some decent form and were unlucky against newmarket who will go no where this season infact they shouldnt have even been in the premier last season,http://foot.ie/images/icons/icon13.gif, lifford will be up there fighting come the end if the get the results they deserve (rineanna robbed them of rthe points) .. bridge united for the drop

Well for a team that wasn't even supposed to be in the premier last year, It's fun I've been watching this page for the last few seasons and you always have the few geniune in the know people, the few trollers and the few like myself observers. The League is only 2 weeks old and already we have league winners and relegation- bound teams. From my previous and vast knowledge of Clare soccer the league's most important period is those evening games in april/may and of course trips outside 15miles from Ennis. Here are a few predictions newmarket to go well in Munster Senior and junior. Avenue and Bunratty to go on good runs in FAI and Newtown to reform in 2010 because they are missed already

lifford lost 2-1 on the last day of the season 2 years ago.. missed a penalty, a certain newmarket lad was manhandling the referee we all know who iam talking about..its a joke would have been relegated onkly for intimidating the referee.. correct me if iam wrong???????http://foot.ie/images/icons/icon5.gifhttp://foot.ie/images/icons/icon10.gif
