I'll ask our hotel if they can recommend a reputable firm if people want. How did you gauge numbers for Montenegro? Is it just a question of compiling a list as below in this thread or starting another thread?

Bus Transfer - Sofia Airport to City Centre at 22.30 approx. (Sveta Sofia Hotel, Any other stops required?)

Yeah I set up a thread on it. Its a bit of work but it was a good laugh and a good way of meeting people on trips and it does generate a bit of good will.

Cheers Neil, I'd say it's generally worth doing alright but in this case if it's only couple of euros a head in a taxi and it's as easy as Cobra says to identify the legit ones then probably just stick with that.

When I booked the other week they said there were 35 other Irish (not sure if rooms or people) booked in for the match.

Flights and hotel, 5* cheap as hell, sorted. Got screwed a bit with Bulgarian air and have to spend about 7 hours in London on the Friday before our flight to Sofia from Heathrow. Flying home on the Sunday, early in the morning.

The airport taxi drivers over there are notorious for ripping people off. A fair number of the reports I read about the place commented on this.

Only need to get tickets sorted now. Expecting to get the app form soon.

surely you've been convinced to stay in the sveta sofia by reading the last few posts alone?

theres a few going über chic and staying in the Hotel Les Fleurs, which does look nice. Radisoon is another option. i was gonna stay at hotel downtown, but seemed a few staying in sveta.

i'm by myself on this trip (unless i hear otherwise) so this was one of the cheapest options but also good location.

I usally have a few beers with Sligo Hornet Moscow Mule, Saint Tom Babysis and Green Tribe and the Humpmeister and a good few others so if you wanna meet up and have a few beers free free to. If you think I am a cnut no problem too.

If anyone intrested and has not booked yet, Wizzair flght on the Thrusday evening from London Luton to Sofia has just DROPPED in price from €460 euro to €330, They ryanir flight from Dublin to London before hand is 40euro

:p Great with these tax levies & pay freezes etc have left us all feeling the hit !
At least it wont kill us spending wise going over.
The average cost of a pint in Ireland is €4.04 ,
in Bulgaria its €0.89 cent !!!! Quoted on up todate price finder listings :D
