It is rowe and the gaffer reckons its a done deal. Would add the firepower that we lacked last year with rowe and myler upfront, now a keeper would be ideal.....

I think they reluctantly released him to Clyde. Not sure why, presumably personal reasons.

Heard there were a couple of deals possibly arising from the African Nations Cup, where scouts are pimping their players to European clubs indiscriminately. Sligo are supposedly interested in the Namibian forward Brian Brendell and he may arrive for a trial soon. Drogs apparently after a home-based Zambian squad member, forget who.

Yeah, I heard this too, Paul Hegarty has sent someone over to watch some lad called eto and another called Drogba. Doubt they'd be much cop in our league but sure you gotta trust the gaffer.

Would'nt call it a big loss , John Tamborus will step in there. Gavin missed most of last season and Drogs managed fine.

Meanwhile, another argument between player and manager looks set to result in the departure of Shamrock Rovers striker Ger Rowe, who is on the verge of signing for Bray Wanderers.

Rowe has been frozen out of the picture at Rovers after he fell out with boss Pat Scully and the two clubs are understood to have agreed a fee with personal terms the only obstacle to be crossed before he officially signs.
