Anyone fancy any upsets the weekend?
If a full Elton team turn up they could shock Star. 5 or 6 of the team has played premier in either Limerick or Tipp. Depends on Gaa.
On their day Wembley could shock Pike but if they play like last week against Corbally they will be destroyed.

I think there may be a few upsets this weekend alright, the main one sticking out is Croom against Summerville, Croom are back playing some great stuff and should walk there league also they will relish the challenge of quite a decent premier outfit. I also think wembley will put it up to pike, but as for Mungret, should they evev bother turning up? Saw them play recently and i reckon they belong in 4A, all there strikers do is moan, moan, moan!

What do you expect when all the big premier sides keep taking all of Mungret's best players. So what's Summerville's excuse because from where I see it ye are no great shakes either. You can harp on all day about winning a 1A double last year but if you're really honest you'll have to admit that the standard in 1A last year and this year is brutal.

oh boooo hooo hoo....
dry your eyes mercurial vapour...
if ye were a half decent club at all ye would be able to hold onto all the AVERAGE players ye have lost over the last couple years.. best of luck sunday

i will give mungret an 8 goal start for anyone interested????

Mungret 0 - 2 Fairview,
A penalty that wasn't and a deflected shot from 30 yards.not exactly the 7 or 8 goal thrashing ye expected.not a bad performance from a team you say should be in 4A against a team tipped for the premier.Fairview were better tema on the day but not by much, mungret keeper only had one save to make..if mungret had fairviews luck on the day,it could have different

To be honest we didn't need to get out of first gear, one of the easiest games i've played in quite a while! The penalty was a dead cert, and we never looked like conceding.:p

must agree the penalty decision was an utter disgrace never one in a million years ,as for the free kick it was just bad luck it got deflected,so much for 7 or 8 ha just goes to show that there isnt 2 much of a difference between
1a and premier after all.

to quote the fai junior appeals com'tee when asked about a certain rule not being adhered too.." the rules can be bent in certain situations"
all rules with that bunch of fools are open to manipulation ...

as i said before , players hoping from eircom league and back to junior is going to cause major hassle. they should just stop players from playing in the two grades in the one season. if a player who has just finished with say lfc37 he should not be left play junior untill the following august..

pearse4t3
15/10/2007, 10:21 AM
Any player who has played an FAI senior cup game after the 12th of August can not play in this seasons FAI junior cup as per rule. That rule is in FAI JUNIOR CUP rule book which every club secretary receives.

Summerville play on a cabbage patch, we have 2 very good pitches, a new clubhouse and an all weather training pitch, 23 schoolboy teams, a minor team and 2 junior teams. We've played in 2 Munster junior finals in the last 15 years and won one of those finals. We played in the FAI final aswell in '95 and were narrowly beaten 2-1. Ye have won a Div. 1A double last year and that gives you the right to write off a "real" club. Come back on here and post after ye achieve something worth shouting about. A wannabe club with guys that like to swell each others heads is all ye are. Won't be too long before ye are back where ye belong!

I'd say more likely to be 4-0 to Pike if thats the case and wasn't the 5-1 to pike on above in the view last time?Imigine what would happen above in Pike club...they won fairly easily against a fancied Wembley team yesterday, and since both Kelleher and colbert can't play anyway... Pike seem to have the indian sign over the view atm, haven't lost to them in awhile(correct me if I'm wrong)

And since when has the draw been made??Didn't hear it on the local news last nite anyway.doubt it has.

Green Hoop can you stop posting rubbish on behalf of pike, you haven't a clue what your talking about. Pike beat Fairview 5-1 up in the pike field towards the beginning of the season. Fairview have since improved alot but so have Pike. Pike would still be strong favourites if the draw is true, just on their experience alone.

They would give Pike a good game if the draw is true.
