Another win for Hill Celtic this morning, should be top of league now with a 2 nil away to the Dines. 2 good goals from Byrnes who played centre forward with O'Connor and to be honest the score line should have been alot more. SCeltic should be top of the league now with Dromore winning last night as well. Any other results for us ?[/QUOTE]

Kilmallock are top, they have 3 wins out of 3 games. They beat Mungret yesterday 4-2.

Easy win tonight for the Hill Celtic over a very poor Caherdavin side, game was all over at half time 4-1, came out in the second half and tacked on the 5th straight away, Caherdavin got a peno in the last 10mins for nothing at all and finished up 5-2 to Hill Celtic. Any other results for us ? How did Dromore V's Killmallock get on ?

Please god we can turn this around and quickly cause at the moment we need a bit of luck.

Dines 0 Balla 1

Heard Darren Walsh broke his ankle while playing for the Dines and even though injured Paul Dillon is set to leave them.

These two players are the only current Dines players with any real bit of experience of Junior football as they lost most of last years squad, and I think they will struggle big time now unless they sign some players asap.

We threw it away altogether ! Gave away a soft goal in the first 15 mins and then we missed so many chances we could have finished the league off with the amount we had.
2 big key players that would have put the ball in the net no problem were missing on the night O'Connor and Skinner. I can remember Cappamore having only 3 shots on target in the complete game. Oh well I hope we don't fall with 1 bad result.

ur memory isnt great jack they had at least 5 and thats only on target
they had 5 or 6 easy chances to go 2 up but missed all terribly

Cappamore had plenty of chances in the first half and should of been at least 2 if not 3 up at half time. Second half was all Hill, plenty of chances but couldn't even hit the target never mind work the keeper. Noted that Cappamore had a bare 11 with Hill having about 16 to 17. Think the fresh legs introduced in second half made a difference. Any other results?

Any other results from last night. I had a look at the table on the LDMC website. If its right that puts balla joint top with Kilmallock depending on the other results of course from last night.

League must be poor this year with the two promoted teams Kilmallock and Dromore doing so well. Doesn't say much for the standard in 1A.

Not sure about that, think the league is pretty even. No outstanding team just a lot of very average teams. Could be any 2 of the following to drop down Caherdavin, Mungret, Cappamore, Geraldines, Herbertstown, Bruff, Balla B(Even with the good start) and Charleville.

League must be poor this year ....

I hear that line trotted out so many times for so many leagues .... but for once I would agree.

Bruff are not as strong as last year, having lost 4 key players.
Dont know whats going on with Mungret, Geraldines and Caherdavin, I expected them to be getting results from the start.

Its not unusual to sometimes see the newly promoted teams do well (e.g Bruff topped the division for the first half of last season) but I'd be surprised if it lasts.

terrible start to the game, dont think bruff started with their starting keeper because we scored two in first five minutes, both could've been blamed on the keeper, bruff brought on another keeper and came back and scored a cracker even though the scorer should've been closed down earlier, after that not a lot happened, nothing close to scoring from either team, bruff aren't as strong as last year but they're still not a bad team...really missing their striker from last year

Yeah, Pip Moloney is a big loss, I think he's gone to Croom in 1B, so I'd expect them to do very well this year.
Thanks for the match report :)

we were beaten three one by herbertsown...we were awful in the first half and we lost gerry kelly to a dislocated finger after about two minutes and we never really recovered...although second half we improved and looked at little more lively...im not going to make excuse's, herberstown were better than us but we were missing three starters, so we are not too upset about it.

I heard the Cappamore sideline went over the top with abuse and treaths, so ref in question abbandoned the game and went, and correctly so.

I think the ldmc should deduct points from teams such as these, and it would surely see an improvement on the abuse the refs receive.

Booster, It's one thing abusing a ref for a poor decision, it's another thing to threaten him. At the end of the day it's only a game of ball.

What "THREATS" were they? Were you at the game? What stage was it at when he "ABANDONED" it? Spelling, Spelling, Spelling!! Say it was the pressure of relegation that sent them over the edge.

Heard it from a Dines member, when he asked the ref why it was being ABANDONED the ref replied "I'm not taking any THREATS from the Cappamore sideline".

IF this is true and ref puts in a report about it, does anyone know what possible punishment Cappamore could face?

As Cappamore are a country club you can be sure they will be heavily punished. Pretty sure the Dines lads wouldn't of opened their mouths during that game. The Dines always have a quiet line!

In 15 years of playing Junior football never experienced much abuse outside the roundabouts of Limerick. Alot of rising and heckling "Here come the townies" or "here are the boys who ate the chips" "you cant send me off its my field!!" but never anything malicous. All true quotes!!
