Mungret 1 - 1 Dromore. Mungret dominent for 90 minutes but could only find the net once.with a bit more luck mungret could have had a few.great point for dromore in the end.

not the best result this morning for mungret i think promotion could be a hurdle to far for them this year as i'd say they can't afford to drop any more points and with them having to play kilmallock and balla in their last 5 games i cant see it..

balla 4 geraldines 1.. balla down to 9 men after 40 mins with scores level at 1-1

thats some result for balla if they were down to 9 men as geraldines are no mugs and i seen them push kilmallock all the way a few weeks ago..it seems the break which balla had didn't seem to affect them and the lack of match practice didn't play a factor either SOME result hats off to them

Mungret are more than capable of winning all remaining matches..kilmallock balla and dromore all have to play each other.8 wins&1 draw in the last 9 league games isn't a bad return for mungret!!

ya not a bad return but just reckon they'll end up paying for their poor start to the season

to be honest the pitch was not great but having played with geraldines last year i expected to see a lot more football from them as they had the players out there to do it,they played into our hand knocking the ball long to the forwards it was meat and drink to the defence, having said that the forward and midfielders really put in some effort and it was no surprise that our three midfielders were changes durin the game.

bit early to say that razbar,as someone has said thats 8 wins and a draw in the last nine games so if they win there last 5 they will be very close

we haven't lost since our first game of the season, think we showed today we're capable of winning most if not all matches too

he wasn't great against us when we played them but having said that he got there equaliser:D
They have a handy team out there and as good a player as your man seems to be I think they would be more than a match against anybody in our league with or without him

just a quick one for ye would anyone be in favour of re-introducing the use of all 5 subs as i think it would be of benefit to local soccer as it would keep 16 players happy as rugby can tog out 22 and use them and i think so can the gaa so it would keep the younger players happy espically those just out of minor

Why did they change it back to 3 subs after one year in the first place?

Was last year just a trial and they found it didnt work??

I think that because 3 subs was a universal rule and the FAI/FIFA weren't happy with anything other than that

Is the Balla match going ahead tomorrow with the A team in the MJC?

the manager finally got the club to agree that it was pointless us having no fixture when the a team were playing in these cups and thankfully they agreed.
I suppose for future it will still depend on what squad a team have coming up to these games though:confused:

dunno to be honest, everyone was up for it warm up was good but when the game started ye were first to every ball and won most tackles,we gifted ye 3 soft goals but at the same time ye're keeper only really have one save to make.
As i said we can't have any complaints because on the day ye were better than us and fully deserved ye're win.
We lost our first game of the season and then went unbeaten for twelve so with a bit of luck that loss will have the same affect as our first loss.
Next game is really important now

Bruff 1 - 3 Geraldines

Geraldines lose 4-1 last week to 9 men and then beat Bruff out in Bruff 3-1.
Balla win last week with 9 men then get beaten at home 3-0 by Shannon.

Seems every team is capable of beating everyone else in this league. Could make for an interesting finish both at the top and bottom.
