Mungret 1 - 1 killmallock
Very hard fought game by two good teams.Penalty in the first half for kilmallock and mungret equalised early in the second half.puts kilmallocks promotion off for now and keeps mungret in the chase.

Cappamore 2 Hill Celtic 2. Very poor game altogether with no interest from both sides. Celtic went ahead twice only for Cappamore to equalize with 10 men.

have to say i thought last nights game was a great advertisement for the division. both teams went out to win which is obvious enough but right till the end it was an attacking game. http://foot.ie/images/icons/icon14.gif

i don't think it matters how many games we have left in the context of the league is what i meant,we are not going to win it now anyways.TBH i can't say we did or we didn't because i was just told it was off.

sir jose your a mungret man ya?
ye would be better off concentrating on finishin above dromore rather than worrying what we do.
Man it should be some game with ye,seems like a lot of ye have a grudge against balla.
Try takin the chip off your shoulder,ye are in 1A for a reason and ye'll have a lot more things to complain about next year IF YE GO UP

i think there are quiet a few teams annoyed with ye not playing yer fixtures..balla have proven themselves as a top team in the division and lots of teams are relying on them for victories not only at the bottom of the table but at the top aswell.dines have a tough game against mungret and would be hoping balla would have beaten charleville to give them a lift.i dont think balla are out of the title race just yet and they still have a huge roll to play in deciding the second promoted team..this is why people are getting annoyed with the balla matches being cancelled!

as i've said on a lot of occasions the players are annoyed too,i do not know the reason for the game being off tommorrow,it could be down to us hopefully not though because if there is not a genuine reason our players will be p****d off too,the facts are though that you are entitled to ask for 2 free weekend in a season also it is not our fault that the a team are doin so well in big competions and our games are cancelled because of that,i don't know what happens when the likes of fairview, pike ,the boro are in these competitions if there b team games go ahead or not?
Will ye dry em lads for christs sake. In a few weeks time the teams with the highest points will go up and the lowest points will go down and the way the fixtures fell just like the missed chances, the penalties that weren't given, the disallowed goals etc. will all be just pub talk.

just a final note on the balla match that didn't go ahead this morning,
Charleville wanted it off same as when we were down to play bruff a few weeks ago and they wanted it off!!!
Also well done to Kilmallock on getting promoted, great season for them, will struggle in the premier I think unless they get in some more players but they were the most impressive team we played so far this season in terms of fitness and football.
The result between dines and mungret really puts dromores faith in there own hands now.As i've said previously i think mungret would be more suited to the premier league but there bad start could really come back to haunt them.
Just a quick question for ye,when was the last time the two teams promoted to a higher division went on to get promoted again the following season?also what does it say about the standard in 1A?

Kilmallock promoted!
Congratulations.
I have to admit to a certain amount of jealousy that our local rivals have got to the premier at the first attempt.
I dont think the standard of 1A this year was anywhere near last season, but it was the same for evryone so taking nothing away. Well done.

going on recent form the way we've played lately is put in a good performace followed by a poor one and since we were poor last time out we should play well, having said that its after a long weekend and also dromore will be right up for it,givin the grief we have been getting from the mungret sector on this thread I'd say somehow tomorrow evening they won't care as long as we win

To be honest mulla i wouldn't hold out too much hope of ye getting within a few goals of Dromore tonight because i think they'll be too strong for ye.
Congratulations to Kilmallock they fully deserve to win the league. The table doesn't lie and it looks likely that Dromore will go up with them. From a Mungret point of view we were thrown a lifeline last week with Charleville drawing with Dromore but we just weren't good enough to take advantage.

would like to hear a mungret point of view on the game last sunday...to say mungret bottled it is very harsh on them and on us dines...it was a very hard fought game, a good one to watch...heard some grumblings bout the ref from mungret afterwards which i think is a little bit of a cop out...he was poor for both teams...dromore are a good side but mungret would stand a far better chance in premier next year...

Hard to see dromore staying up in premier next year.As for mungret..hard to say they bottled it..lost four of first five and unbeaten since august..not bad.it'll be interesting to see if they hold onto their players for next year.Dromore need to make a few signings if they've any hope but i think they'll be thought a lesson in premier.promotion may have come a year or two too early.
Time to start talking about team of the season maybe?

Yea I'd agree with that Ballsy. Balla were definately the better footballing side last night but on numerous occasions the poor pitch let them down. They would be better off playing in LIT considering that they do like to keep the ball on the deck and knock it about.
