the premier looks like a three horse race at this stage...moher look destined to win it out but newtown hav the next best chance at it with their games in hand...hard to predict who'l be relegated but im gonna say mountshannon and olympic

well newtown played moher in ballycasey already,so they must still have to play them out in mohers place..it could be a league decider if it goes all the way,the way newtown are playing at the moment if they keep there shape and confidence for the rest of the season, cant see them being stopped:ball:

They'll have to keep free of injuries aswell.;) This is the time of year when injuries play a big part. There will be games coming quick and fast and alot of knocks get picked up.

never mind the injuries.. would be more worried about midweek games
and players trying to get out of work in time ..to make matches :ball:

This could be the thing that could hit Newtown hard. Moher have played 2 games more and might not have to play that many midweek games while Newtown on the other hand are playing catch up.
Saying that, IF Moher do have to play mid week games then i could see them struggle as well to make games as they are Miles away from most places:D
Also we must not forget, Bridge Celtic are still in second place and are a tough team to beat so its anyones league at this stage.
Avenue are still there aswell don't forget.....It will probably go down to the wire:ball:

i think most of the moher lads are working in ennis and alot of them are self employed..personally i think newtown will win the league but the hardest game your going to have is avenue....is this home or away..
Im sure its away, avenue played newtown in shannon already and it was a dirty game with a few players getting sent off, newtown must keep the head out in ennis if to win the game, because the ennis boys will just stir it again.

Newtown are in with a chance... no harm in talkin about that, it makes the league more interesting. Someone on a previous post said they reckon its a 3 horse race and i think they are right. It's between Moher, Bridge Celtic and Newtown, maybe your just p!ssed off that Avenue aren't being mentioned?

you'd be better off worrying about and putting your efforts into sorting out a proper home for your "wonderful club" than being sick of Newtown getting a bit of good press. Get over it, it will make you bitter...but then its probably too late for that.

your a sad man townie,Newtown have had 1 domestic(Clare) defeat all season,i think you are mad because THE Avenue are struggling, fairplay to your schoolboys they are doing well but the juniors forget it,and you can pin this up on the Avenue dressing room if they have one...

can ye explain wat good press ye have had cos the only press i seem to be hearin is from yerselves building yerselves up yr in yr out! look at yer remaining games! ya avenue bottled it last yr no questions but at least we got the chance! ye talked about winnin the league all last year too and didnt even come close! ye are as bad as england building up yer team each year before they have ever done anything!

I can't really comment on Newtown as I haven't seen them play this year. We played Moher in a couple of friendlies and they seemed to be a very strong outfit. I appears to be going down to the wire. I wouldn't discount Bridge fully. They are a very strong physical side. Just an observation newtown seem to have only 2 home games left and the remaining 5 or 6 are away. This could yet prove a crucial factor.

newtown have 3 home games and 5 away games, the crucial factor is avenue and moher away, newtown should be expecting to win the other 3 away games easily.but at the same time anything can happen from here on in,may the best team win,im a shannon man so im hoping, newtown for the league and olympic to stay up.

townie... do you not get papers called clare champion / clare people
published every week usually available in any shop... both papers
would have had the good press about newtown that you seemed to miss reading over the last while ... will add again that on previous posts i have not seen any newtown lads building themselves up..
in my humble view... i still think it will be very close at end of season
and newtown will find it extremly difficult to catch moher :ball: :ball:

best of luck to ye this year ye are a good team but ye do way too much talkin off the pitch than on it! league is still wide open as it has been last few yrs! very little difference between top teams and the rest of the league maybe bar olympic who are bit weaker!

In my opinion newtown will be thinking they will beat these teams comfortably,if u have seen the form there in, you would undersatand,to say they do too much talking off the pitch it pathetic,i know a hanfull of the players and they arent saying much,so i dont know where your getting this information from, all they will do is play it game as it comes.:ball:

Clare supposed to been good. Goals score by David Russell, David Ghilardi (2) and Tom Carmody... (are all these lads Avenue, looks like they are in form for the remainder of the season)
Clare are away to a Dublin lg in the quarter final. 2 Dublin lg's playing each other and Clare travel to play the winners.

AFL = Amateur Football League
AFL definitely one of the favourites to win it out this year.
Look up their website www.amateurfootballleague.com - some fairly impressive results against Lg of Ireland opposition in friendlies. (beat Bohs and Wexford Youths narrow losses vs Dundalk and Shels)
Clare will need to step it up a lot from lasst weekend to have any chance up in Dublin.

add in the fact that Moher are at home Monday morning V Bridge Utd and at home the following Friday night v Newmarket and you can easily come up with a conspiracy theory;) ....but seriously it doesn't matter to us the order these games are played as they simply must be played anyway:eek: .
