For most regular posters here ,who have been around a while it seems that what has been a decent thread all along has been hijacked.

Hopefully they will go the way of so many before.:(

Anyone know anything bout the Team of the month for January or was there one? Or was that a once off?

CmonTheRovers
09/03/2007, 8:06 AM
just got a text to say that all u17, youths, premier, 1st, 2nd, 3rd div matches are off due to continous bad weather.

All Clare cup matches are going ahead.

CousinSylDolan
09/03/2007, 9:47 AM
Correct... except the Bunratty vs Lifford youths game and Bunratty vs Cratloe 1st division game. For the moment they are still on.

(Lifford are well behind in yths games and Lg have requested it goes ahead if possible and pitch to be inspected after that game to see if 1st division game goes ahead or not)

Moher won the last one, don't know if it was for February or March though, Newtown won the first honour, both teams deserving of the accolades that are coming there way at the moment.
Team of the Day would have to go to Inch Crusaders who beat Lifford A 1-0 in the Cup this morning.

ANY OTHER RESULTS

Don't think any other games went ahead. Tulla and Mountshannon could have been a possibility but don't know the result yet.

and what would be wrong wit that..nearly every club has 1 or 2 gaa players on it...

Nothing wrong with it.Its when they pick the ball up and throw it into the net thats the problem. The goal stood.Even the cratloe players couldnt believe it...:ball:

Why cant these cup games be on the bank holiday monday,In my opinion it is not the brightest idea having these fixtures for the day after St patricks day. Does anyone know why this is??

You think thats bad how about an u 17s game on Paddys Day.From a selection of 20 players only 8 are available. All going to Parades.Well isnt that surprising and selfish on PADDYS DAY:rolleyes:

Its an absolute disgrace having these games on especially paddys day but the day after also, the clare committee should be organised than this,i personally think no matches should be played til monday or even the following weekend..

It's poor form alright, the Clare league usually make some muck up during the season at some stage, this happens to be one of um, in their defence they do have to get games played but the day after one of the most celebrated (in drinking terms) days of the year its a bit crazy, Monday would have seemed the logical option. Its gonna come down to the most disiplined team (who has the least hang-overs in there side) to see who goes through in the cup games i'd say.
