Crumlin have their own ground but have switched the match to the Iveagh grounds.Bangor may well have done the same?

Haven't a clue to be honest, a man and his dog is the most I've played in front of there. As far as i remember theres no terracing there so it'll just be a few row of people standing around the pitch so I doubt it can hold too many.

I've seen somewhere recently, can't remember where, some place in Dublin is selling Dublin City jerseys. Could be Carroll's not sure

Is that not the companies mission statement.

Carrolls are some chancers alright. Why can't they just sponsor a real LOI club and sell its stuff rather than run a charade club? They'd probably get a sponsorshiop deal pretty cheap.

25/08/2017, 9:00 AM
It's deadstock that they're trying to shift. They also have sponsor-less Rovers Warrior jerseys. Obviously bought a load of old gear from Toplion/JACC and it's easy to sell green 'Shamrock' and blue 'Dublin' stuff in Carrolls.

Good result for Galway tonight. Pat's looked very toothless , I was surprised at that.albeit I watched it on trackchamp stream and was not there in person so it doesn't tell the whole story, but it looked like they couldn't get a decent cross in all night. Hopefully it gives us boost in our bid to escape from the quicksand at the bottom of the table. Another cracking long distance goal from us,right at the end, We're going to end up having a dozen long range GOTS contenders and potentially get relegated in the same season (obviously I dread that thought!).

Bluebell United
Galway United
Cork city
Shamrock Rovers
Drogheda United
Longford Town
to play tomorrow:
Crumlin Utd v Dundalk
Limerick v Finn Harps

You're not wrong. We had a lot of possession but didn't really do enough with it. Your keeper made a couple of good saves, we had one off the post and one cleared off the line, and a good few corners, but just weren't good enough to score. Galway had a couple of chances to get a second on the break too before they eventually did. Bit of a sickener really.

If Dundalk overcome Crumlin today, I would prefer to draw Cork at home.
My hope is for a Dundalk V Shamrock Rovers final, and I don't think any other team left in the competition is likely to beat Cork

No, you miss the next game in the competition you're sent off in, unless you're sent off in a losing cup match and then you miss the next competitive match you play (so if Rovers had lost he'd have missed the league game).
If Finn were to get any additional games they would be served across all competitions but any additional ban won't be confirmed until after next week's game.

I was actually thinking that myself earlier today, Dlk v Cork would be some QF match, Rovers in the final too, tasty.
Dundalk were not at their best today from reports, 3-1 seems to have flattered a little but we did also miss a late pen, anyway into the last 8. Job done.
Nice 2k for Bluebell now, they pick up the irish daily mail prize as the last remaining NL club still in the draw.
Speaking of the draw, its on Soccer Rep at the new time of 7pm on Monday.

Would also like a Dun/Rovers final... would be nice symeterary to beat them as they were the side we beat last time we won the cup so would be fitting that they would be there at the end of our famine also

The red card for Harps after half an hour pretty much ended them as an attacking force, and they just sat back and let us pass it round in front of them, not doing any real damage. Once we scored they never looked like coming back into it though.

A lot more bothered about losing McAleer for 3 games than actually getting knocked out of the cup, opinions from those who were at it ...was it stupidity from McAleer or was it Buttimer being Buttimer?

Ball over the top, O'Connor got between McAleer and the ball to block his run and allow the ball through to the keeper...the usual shouldering/jostling between defender and attacker, then O'Connor is on the ground. Ref gave the red instantly, McAleer made no protest, just turned and walked off - I am guessing he kicked out at him after I took my eyes off them.

Yeah he kicked him from behind. One of the Strangest things I've seen in a while. No reason for it. He didn't even argue the fact. Kicked O Connor and walked down the tunnel.

3-1 didn't flatter at all imo.A stroll in the park for Dundalk.Even at 1-1 no panic buttons were getting pressed,Dundalk coasted through the match.Crumlin as you'd expect worked their socks off but it was huff and puff stuff without any real end product(the Crumlin goal was a cracker in fairness) .1st gear for us all match.Duffy top man all game.About 700 in attendance.

Pretty poor showing tonight in the Markets Field. Game was killed as a contest when McAleer stupidly got himself sent off. I thought Harps done well enough when down to ten men considering the man disadvantage but still never really threatened Clarke in the Limerick goal. I don't think we had a shot on target for the whole game.
