Any further thoughts on Longford v Carmarthen from anyone ? I'm still planning to plough my way over for it.

Well Steve, are you still making the trip West?

Too many stories and not enough story time.
No, Steve you never told me that one.

Can't believe I didn't mention that.

Brief summary is - didn't tell my neighbour (nervous Irish guy) that I was shooting off on holiday. He hadn't seen me in what he thought was a month (he is a bit old...) and asked the other neighbours had they seen me. They said they hadn't, and he then noticed my car hadn't moved in a while. He flagged down some Police going past, and said to them he was worried about me. They got big ladders out to peer in the tope floor windows (3 stories up). I'd left lights on but the curtains closed, so they couldn't see in. They then said they'd have to break-in to check for me !

I got back from the trip on a Monday to find me doorlooking kicked-in, with 2 huge padlocks and a note from my neighbour to contact Kennington Police. Instantly assumed I'd been burgled, so was delighted to hear that I hand't as I'm not insured !

Now then - guess how much it cost to have a new door supplied and fitted the same day as calling. I'll give yee's a clue - it's 'ard san aer'/high !

Well Steve, are you still making the trip West?

Almost definitely. I reckon if I leave London by no later than 2pm I'll be there in good time, so as long as I don't get stuck with anything tomorrow then I'll be off. Was originally going to go to an auction which would've scuppered me plans, but probably not doing that anymore....

Open invite, drinks in North London on Saturday night. Probably Crouch End, bit of a pub crawl, possibly Upper St.

Also the Charity Shield and the Galways game in Sunday.

Hey hope you had a good birthday Babysis! I was away home for 4 days. Was a bit of a carry-on film with transport throughout Ireland and on way back to Scotland  . Stressed to the eyeballs. Our 'transport problems' included the lack of trains to glasgow from Stranraer last night  Ding Dong........ "This train terminates at Ayr....." Fcuk off! So after being told a taxi from ayr at 01:00 in the morning to glasgow would be £100 we tried to thumb it, no luck, called the taxi and it was £42, not bad between 4, probably same as train! Got to Glasgow and went straight to Malaysian restaurant, slurp..... :D

Final coat of paint on the woodwork on my Living Room just being finished now. It's like opening night of some new snazzy club or something..... :p

I think you boys are going to like the all-new bright, airy, sumptious surroundings of the Stockwell Multilpex. Though I may need you to help me move the furniture and telly back into place..... :D

My project in London concludes this Friday and I'm taking the chance to move back home. I know Dublin is only across the water and I'm certain I'll see you all again but if anyone wants to join me for a "farewell to London" drink on Friday they're more than welcome.

I was considering somewhere in town, like O'Neills on Wardour Street or somewhere in North London like The Quays on Holloway Road. (Not sure if you're barred from there Paul?)
Any other suggestions will be considered.

Good luck back in that back amoungst those fake 'Oirish' in Cork, I hope that your time with us real Irish people has been informative and educational and that you've enjoyed yourself. Obviously won't be able to make it to the Quays (or anyother civilised pub) for your leaving do, but will be in touch next time I am within reach of Cork. The offer is still there for accommodation if ever you wish to see Arsenal in the Norh West.

Gah - if this was next friday I could make it - but (un?)fortunately I will be wineing and dineing with the new girlfriend in Worcester on Friday night.

It was only AFTER I had arranged this that I remembered that we were playing Drogheda in the Cup and I'll now have to rely upon the text message updates from United Park :( :D

Anyway - good luck - and next time I'm in Dublin (which will be in November) I'll buzz you to meet for a beer or sixteen
