By having the draw been given out in bits and pieces all week it gives credence too the conspiracy theorists who reckon the draw is dodgy, especially the Limerick section! How hard is it to just announce the draw on the official FAI website the day it's drawn ffs.

This is the FAI your dealing with what do you expect, you cannot even attend the draw.while they continue to conduct the draw in this manner there'll always be conspiracy theories, like the last 2 years where pike drew the FAI champs in 1st round and the following year drew boro in 1st round after being the last 2 in the hat.😠coincidence maybe.cant see any reason why a member of LDMC cannot attend the draw and then post it on THEIR website.

its some joke it should be made open to anyone that wants to go to it, finding out who you get in the next round should be something to look forward to and not a pain in the hole as it is now

I was just on the FAI website, they have updated the Junior Cup part of the site on the 10th of October, great news you'd think, but no...they've only updated all the first round cames and listed the second round matches for this week....I thought they had the third round draw already, why not issue it?

good question, where did the people get the draws for the other areas,so we can check the Mayo area 3rd as it seems we got a walkover in the 2nd round, into the 3rd without playing.

Ya avenue beat them 6 2 last weekend, hear lifford were shocking, seems like they have continued their horrendous form from the second half of last season.. Pity because I saw them in the league cup final this time last year and they gave avenue a great game and deservedly won..had, what appeared to be, the makings of a half decent side. Joe lynch and Scott Hennessey are big losses though.

Was Paul Cantillon playing against Avenue do you know? Yeah i was told they had the makings of a league challenging side. They got the keeper from Shannon town this year as well didn't they? how's he getting on inside?

Carew park 2 Granvile 1, mark sla, Jonathan grant.

We were shocking this morning played well for 20mins at the start of the 2nd half worst performance of the season thought we couldn't be as bad as the last the we played Granvile. Scored after 3mins good finish from mark sla at near post. Granvile levelled with there only chance in first half Carew then were awarded a pen when the granvile player punched the ball off the line and unbelievably only got a yellow card pen was missed.
2nd half we upper it played some good football took the lead on the hour mark with Jonathan grant. After that we were poor Granvile created 2 great chances in last 10mins but so poor finishing.
Best of luck to Granvile a excellent team are alot better than some premier teams iv no doubt they Will be back there next season.

I haven't watched Carew other than the two occasions we've played them, so I can't comment on the level of your performance. However, I'd like to think that the level of ours on both occasions played a large part in making life difficult for your players. I felt we showed the qualities needed to compete at that level. Still, we're disappointed to leave empty handed again.
Not a lot to add to that match report, apart from Ken O Donoghue's superb shot in the last few minutes which brought out a stunning save from Gordon Stewart. Also I think that our player handled the ball for the pen, but from where I was stood it was going wide, so the ref showed yellow not red. Have to mention our young keeper Rob Power again, who, not for the first time this season gave a superb display of shot stopping. Including a fabulous save from Grant's penalty.
Best of luck in the next round to Carew, and once again thanks to the club members for the warm welcome.

Thomas72, your first two lines show incredible arrogance.

Granville played well for 45 minutes a few weeks ago in the first game but fell apart in the second half. This morning, they took a different approach and from where I was standing, Carew Park never figured it out. Carew Park management will have to show more tactical awareness if they are to win things this season but more worrying from your point of view is your fitness levels, I won't name names but in general it is not at a standard that you would expect at this level. Granville had three great chances in the last 15 minutes, one which brought an incredible save from Gordon Stewart - if they had only taken one of them then it would have been very interesting to see how Granville's clearly superior fitness would have stood to them in extra time.
Sometimes you have to hold your hand up and admit your performance, good or bad, was influenced by the opposition. Clearly, Carew Park aren't the side yet that a lot of people are telling them they are. A lot of hard graft on the training ground is clearly required for when it gets tight against the better sides in the final quarter of games.
Granville, to be fair, seem to be moving in the right direction and showed again this morning that they could be in the mix in 1A at the end of the season.
A good game played in a very good spirit. Well done both teams.

I said Carew were very poor this morning how is that arrogance to anybody as for your other ridiculous comment about the manager unbeaten all season something like 15 games fluke i suppose. Fitness levels of Carew park are excellent everyone of them train very hard running hills sometimes 3 nights a week. ridiculous post

think your way off on the fitness level approach, carews performance was not affected by that, their fitness looked fine but it was that some of their players were not playing well and granville gave them plenty to think about.good competitive match it was and granville unlucky not to reach extra time.
