As far as I know there are only a few clubs releasing official attendances this year (us included). Would have thought that more clubs would have done this in year 2 of the new regime. Wonder why they dont? Anyone any (non libelous) ideas?

CPOs working too hard to be on the internet that regularly?

In fairness, we're up to half the clubs in the league now, so it's not as bad as "only a few". But most of the Premier don't bother, which is strange alright.

How much do gate receipts factor into Galway's budget? Can they cope with average attendances around the 1,000 mark?
I seem to recall seeing some story about how Galway were increasing their planned expenditure this season. If I remember right, there were quotes from Leeson too, so it wasn't mere rumour. It's early days to be panicking over attendances, but they might struggle with the wage cap if income is under budget.

About 3,400 Derry V Drogs

I probably got that wrong. Maybe 3,800.

The local media giving it at 4,000.

Id say your first estimate was right, id say 3,500. There was still plenty of room in the Jungle.

525 for UCD-Sligo.
It didn't look as if there was anything near that watching the highlights on MNS

It's a bigger stand than you think. Everyone's in the middle two sections too 'cos the ones at either end are uncovered. Just watched it there and the first thing you see is an empty quarter of a stand.

I see Cobh's average has gone from 900 to 2,450 in a week!!

Actually I'd like to see them do well and hopefully a few of the locals will have gotten the buzz back after Saturdays' game and will continue to come out and support them.

Don't recall anyone saying that.
All Sligo's attendances are on that basis, for example, with differences of up to 1000 for games.

And actually no it's not more official than that, it's the same thing because it's still just one person saying how many's there without anything to back it up.
You may as well ignore all posts on this thread so. And indeed, all official figures too. Sure there's only one club saying that without anything to back it up.

I was at the game tonight and was very impressed with the crowd.
I would have guessed nearer to 4000 but obv the 3460 is correct.
Really great crowd considering our recent run of results and (no offence to UCD fans) that it was against UCD.
I cant ever recall there being such a big crowd at turners cross v ucd.
You could barely get a seat in the Shed.
Good atmosphere too. And thanks be to christ 3 pts at last

Poor crowd in Bray last night, Green stand was at most 3 quarter full, about 100 Harps fans there. I con't know how much the green stand holds but I say the crowd was around 1000 at most.

Open to correction, Bray fans should know their ground better.

In fairness I'd say there is a lot more going on in Dublin on a Friday night to compete for people's leisure time interests than there is in either Ballybofey or Derry.

I'd almost believe that. Great crowd.

It was a cause of some comfort to me as I got drenched in the Ballybough End that your massive flag was kept nice and dry on those couple of hundred seats in the stand. What's the story with that?

Was thinking about 3000-3500 at the game. Certainly one of the bigger crowds I've seen down there. 40 UCD fans too. :p

Think the new Shed has taken away from the atmosphere to an extent though.

Like what? Look at the population of Dublin compared to both Derry and Donegal combined.

Anyways, great to see crowds of 5000 and 3400 over the weekend, imo all good for the league, the higher the better.

Yeah thats about right. I was gonna post it as 900 or 950. Green stand holds something like 994 I think. I didn't get a good look at the stand - if it was only 3/4 full when it was lashing rain then there may have been less that 900 there:o
