I don't think those turnstiles have counters but I might be wrong. Anyway, 1626 given as the attendance in our match report on extratime.ie. Don't know where they got it from.
It sounds about right though, judging by a post from a fan in our forum saying "well over 1500 I would think".

DAMN IT, thats 6 down on our exaggerated average attendance last season (2199) either we were exaggerating our figures or else the bubble has burst...
No barcode PF, RFID technology all the way...
Are all tickets at Galway being scanned or is it just season tickets?
I would imagine that RF on all regular tickets would work out more expensive than Bar-Code.

just the season tickets works excellently. Everybody pays into Terryland now and Match Sponsors also have tickets issued to them so the guestimates are a thing of the past.

Drogs attendances cannot exceed 2000 due to the safety regulations
Were they ever likely to exceed much more than this anyway ?

Cheers, just wondering. All Cork tickets are scanned now and everybody- media, workers, staff etc is scanned in. These numbers can be discounted from the overall total, giving the actual number of paying customers as well as an overall head-count.

1660 at Harps Cobh.
Is that official?
Very poor crowd. My guestimate was 2100 and Chis Ashmore reported 2200 to the Star.

Are you taking the pish or what? I very much doubt the league win has inflated your crowd so much that you'd be squeezing in 5k every week

i had parked there but someon told me they close at 9 and the car park will be locked - wasnt going to take the chance... found a space eventually 10min walk from ground. also then noticed aldi supermarket had a huge car park which was open at the end of the game

A great travelling Dundalk crowd at the Shels game last night. At least 200 I'd say.

1606 at Tolka per their forum.
The Star said 1500 for our game!
Cork City V Bray Official Attendance 4,791
The new ticket scanning system worked a treat, attendance now called out over the PA in the second half
Have to agree with Joey, anyone know the Pats v Rovers attendance.Very big Rovers crowd
Yeah, must've been about 150 there. Fair play

I would say at least double that as there were a lot of Rovers fans in the main stand as well as the Camac

Was well over double that!

290 Derry fans at the Belfield bowl.
Not bad considering we have have a big Sentanta cup game on monday. Latest ticket away sales for the Linfield game is over 1,300 and I still have 9 tickets to buy on monday morning,,, ****

How did you arrive at that figure? Not that I'm disagreeing with you. Thought it might have been higher.

Well at least it is 100 more than St Patrick's usually bring to the Showgrounds

And how is that relevant? Or true?
Typical fecking petty arguements about tiny crowds.

Cause I was ****ed when I wrote that!
I have heard today it was more like 450.

about 300+
I wasn't being sarcastic and I don't think there was more than 150 of you. You took up less than half of the Inchicore end of the Camac. If there was more, it wasn't by much. And its still a decent away crowd. Hence the fair play bit.
And arguing over whether its 150 or 250 is ridiculous.
The star gave the crowd at 3,700
Laughable guesstimate IMO

Restricted capacity in United Park is now 3,000 with the new barriers put in the home terrace. With that I reckon there was 2,500ish at yesterdays sh*te.

from best estimates there was a huge turnout of home support for our game.. I could be wrong but I thought that at least 1000 people at our game last night..
If I am wrong please correct me or Longfordian(whos in the know) what was the off attendance from our game?

I guessed it was closer to 2,500. The stand wasn't full, the shed was closed, as was the new stand for most of the game. Nothing on the Pats website yet, they were quick at posting them at the early part of last season but got a bit slower later in the season.

They haven't updated the main page yet. I know the people invoved and they will put up the official attendance. I'd agree with your estimate. I was just pointing out the ridiculousness regarding people making guesses about the crowd

Official attendance in Wexford was 1,826 paying customers plus season ticket holders, bringing it up to about 1,900 - 1,950.

Why are the majority of Sligo fans on here so insistent on getting involved in tit for tat arguements the whole time? It's tedious as **** having to trawl through all the posts to get to the ones that actually have some relevance.
Very impressive Derry away crowd from the reports and also encouraging to see nearly 2000 at the Wexford game.

The Kenny factor was a boost for the travelling support, and over 1300+ already sold for Windsor tomorrow night.

Dunno what the official attendance was but it wasn't up on 1000, about 650-700 at a rough guess.

My guess for the Monaghan- Limerick game was about 120-150. Extremely poor. About 25 of those were Limerick fans
...and also encouraging to see nearly 2000 at the Wexford game.
Would be great to see it continue alright but with the first game/first time ground for Blues fans/just down the road factors all in play the figure was always going to be way higher than normal. Somewhere about 700 away fans there I think. Will be interesting to see what Wexford get for the next home match, hope the figures stay up. No excuses for the home fans, it's a hugely impressive set-up down there, a great place to watch a game of ball. :)

The semi official, semi guessed thread on here that half the media treated as gospel...
Disappointing.:(
In that case shave 20 or 30% off the figures as people always overestimate crowds.

Thanks for the positive feedback, but I would have to question 700 away fans there. The whole stand only holds 600 and WD had a quarter of that with others scattered around the side of the pitch. I'd say 300 in total. Kildare up next and you're right, that'll tell us what we should expect as typical

attendances were up 30% for last seasons first week compared to the same figure the previous year.i wonder will they be up again this year.i doubt it as there was lot of derbies last season that boosted attendances in the first week.
