He must be worth about $352 Million by now (prices based on Antonys $90 Million move from same league)

Troy is averaging a goal every 39 minutes so far this season.

Incidentally, Transfermarkt isn't particularly scientific in terms of it's player valuations, but it's nonetheless notable that on that site he's also comfortably the highest valued player in the Eredivisie outside of the traditional big three clubs in that league.

That valuation is from May also so you'd think his start to the season would push it up a bit. No idea how frequently they do their valuations.

Transfermarkt had him valued at €35m before his move, which actually sounds about right for what United should have paid

Transfermarket valuations arent a great guide. Baleba valued at 40 million, Brighton want over 100 Million.

Troys predecessor at AZ was Pavledes who went to Benfica for 18 million plus add ons. In today's market that would probably mean Troy worth about 25 million, given that he's younger?

Transfermarkt is a pretty decent relative guide if you ask me but the market is so weird that they'll never be accurate as an actual guide as to a players real value. I think it was Dodge who used to say that we can have all the opinions we like but a player is only worth what a club is willing to pay for him. Assigning value now is so difficult as the market is so volatile. Even more so now with contract lengths & amoritization and PSR rules (spending constraints, homegrown exemptions, etc).

Once again given a ridiculous amount of space in an opposition penalty area. Also once again a lovely finish regardless.

9 goals so far this season. Best form of his life. Feels like a nailed on starter for the first round of games in September.

He gets into a lot of space, top strikers tend to do that

Super finish. Doubt he is still there come September. Lots of panicked clubs across the leagues in next few weeks looking for goals. If someone offers 20 millon that makes a tidy profit for Az

"Parrott has picked up where he left off last season as he has the most goals by any player 23 or under in the top 15 leagues this calendar year in all competitions."

Nice stat from Pete O'Rourke.

I'm not sure the 23 or under stat was needed but maybe he has a better source than

Lads, I dunno if it's just my absolute perverted mind, but it seems for months now that the two of ye have been circling the plughole eyeing each other up over posts and counter-opinions.
So in that light, who's bottoming and who's topping when it finally happens?

I know you're not one for hyperbole ES, but I'd go further: if Troy isn't starting in September, then Heimdal has no business managing us.

He's certain to be on some clubs long lists this coming week at a minimum, with goalscoring strikers in short supply generally. May not move this window, but teams are definitely going to be considering him.

Ilves, Vaduz, Volendam, that's why. Right now, he's on a very good streak against lesser opposition. He needs to prove that he can go up a level in the Conference League group stage and against the bigger clubs in the Eredivisie. Meanwhile Hojlund has had three seasons at Serie A and Premier league clubs and has hit double digits in each (All competitions) and is still only 22

Hojlund is the worst center forward I've seen play for Utd and I think I've probably seen 95% of the games he played. Meanwhile Parrott has had 2 very successful seasons in Holland and has started this one brilliantly, that usually leads to bigger things after the Dutch league

Newcastle should just sign Troy (along with say Jackson and Wissa). With Gordon and Elanga either side of him, there’d be plenty of pace to cover any shortcomings he might have in that regard. You’d have the alternative of Jackson for the plenty of pace but no finishing option and Wissa as an option anywhere across the frontline.

For some reason I think Parrott would be really suited to Bundesliga.

10 goals in 52 appearances last year in all competitions, and that's covering up a disaster of a league campaign: 4 goals in 32 games. You could hammer a wooden pole into the penalty spot and Bruno Fernandes would deflect four goals in off of it over a league season.

That's Parrott's 30th goal for AZ, in 54 games. Not bad.

Hopefully not one that will keep him out of the Ireland games.
