Something that is really getting out of hand is the saying, "At the end of the day". It needs to be stamped out cause it means fcuk all, at the end of the day.
There was little need for me to throw it in the previous sentence but just to show how ridiculous it has become
Add to that
"the facts of the matter"
"in fairness"
"to be fair"
"at this moment in time"
and numerous other meaningless phrases people use (not necessarily meaningless of themselves, but usually they are add nothing in the context in which they are used)..
John O'Donoghue is the worst for this (how long before Conor74 replies to this ;) )
"In, fairness, the facts of the matter are, at this moment in time...blah blah"
You know they've really got out of hand when footballers start using them. A few years ago everything was "obviously", then "basically" while in recent years it's been "to be fair".

Go to classes, if you ring the below numebr they should be able to tell you where classes are in your area.. I regulary go to classes to keep brushing up on my Irish and it is all foreginers there.. Its embarrassing to see so many Irish people don't and won't bother learning it and these visiters to our country going to so much to learn it

I wouldn't ever learn a language unless I felt i was going to use it. Ability to speak Irish very often used as a trophy skill IMO.

YES!! That gets me so mad.
Also: newbies on forums either posting duplicate threads or reviving abolutely ancient ones for them to put on meaningless comment. This forum's fine re:that, but others I've seen are diabolical.
