1250/1300 in Oriel tonight for v Shels i'd guess. Was seriously worried we'd dip under the or go close to the 1,000 mark tonight but actually turned oot that there was a decent crowd up and good atmosphere to.

Hell and fire was spawned to be released
A bit of rain and a calamitous goal mouth scramble, about as satanic as it got I'm afraid

Official attendance Athlone Town vs Letterkenny Rovers is 57. Protest outside gates by supporters looking for chairman and board to.step down. About 25 doing that and looks like some regulars that never miss games just didn't bother and protested by not turning up.

Letterkenny Rovers don't have floodlights in Leckview Park. It has to be at 6pm.
Jaysus, you'd think Letterkenny would have 57 or more friends and family that'd want to see their biggest game in years!

Non LOI clubs never bring a crowd. Crumlin are right beside Richmond park and they didn't bring 30 people to any of the games we've had with them recently

In fairness, they'd around 600 travelled a week earlier to the Intermediate cup final in Lansdowne. Letterkenny Rovers don't really have much of a following and there wont be much more than 150/200 at the home game on Tuesday evening, a lot of that likely to be Harps fans too.

Lots of people from my Job are going head to Letterkenny game, could be a big crowd for them, probably lots of Harps supporters based in LK

Yet some often insist that they are as good or big as LoI clubs. Its a little more than putting a team on the pitch in LoI as the meeting in Athlone (leagues oldest club?) would suggest.

450 to 500 in tolka park at shelbourne athletic v First Division Champions 2016 Limerick FC. Counted 121 First Division Champions 2016 Limerick FC fans.

1,217 in Eamon Deacy Park.
Higher than expected considering the crowds that were gathering in Galway from early today for Connacht Rugby open top bus parade which was starting at 4.

Maybe 1,500-2,000 in Tallaght. Hard to judge the crowd from away section.
Only around 30-40 Harps fans which was terribly disappointing.

2371 Dundalk v Youths. Not bad for a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Have often seen it here before 'seemed to be more' but honestly it did seem that way today.U-12's went free so wonder if they were counted?

I was told that the free U12's weren't included. The actual attendance was much higher.
Great promotion for the club.

It's a fantastic promotion but when there appears to be a bounce then we don't have another home match in 4 weeks.

think there was 500 at our game but it was boosted by the 100 cork fans that travelled!

I know my young fella wasn't counted coming in with me. If that's the case the crowd must have been over 3,000- there was a huge junior crowd for an entertaining game.

1,515 at Dalymount.
Its always hard to judge when in the Jodi but that would still seem on the higher side.

I also heard that re the u12 free tickets were not included in the actual attendance, don't see the point why they didn't to be honest. The actual crowd was probably around 2,600, maybe there was 200-300 or so free tickets.

As far as I know you're only supposed to report paying attendees. Doesn't seem to apply to Cabinteely though.
As far as I know you're only supposed to report paying attendees. Doesn't seem to apply to Cabinteely though.
You're supposed to report how many people are in the ground. It's a health and safety thing
But we have clubs including season tickets that don't turn up, clubs not including season tickets that do turn up, clubs including media and guests, others not including media etc, some including free kids, others not.
That's why every figure here has to be taken with a pinch of salt

No figure given for our game yesterday, if I was to guess I'd say 550-600 but could be way over estimating that, pure guess to be honest. Around 120-150 from Cork id say.

I'm sure some people remember how worried I was about certain clubs' attendances a few years ago, but really, I don't know if we can really read too much into the public figures given from a Health and Safety perspective.
What the club write on the official attendance sheet sent to the FAI in the following days is the actual "official" figure. I'd wager that these don't match up with what is announced publicly in many cases.

Cork v Dundalk hope to attract at least 5,000 for Friday 3/5/2015 top of the table clash.
And some things that are going to affect the games attendance,
Bank Holiday weekend always affects attendance,
FAI & Press more interested in International team based in Cork,
Poor advertisement,
Warm weather attractions,
Live on Setanta TV,
Avondale v UCC MSL league deciding clash on same night at 7pm will take potential floating soccer fans away,
Cork floating fan not attracted by Cork style,
A Cork win will still leave Dundalk on top by a point.

I'd have a stab at 1,500 at the Derry-Bray game. ET have it as 1k, but it was certainly more than that.

We counted goals scored too, so that plumped up the figures.
The Bohs figures are for bodies through the turnstiles/gates. 1500 or so looked about right.Terrible crowd for a game v Pats.

Sligo were pretty brutal all night. They're good at passing the ball sideways and backwards though.
It was a much more positive Harps performance though. Great to see us actually go out and attack a team. We probably should have scored another two at least.
