Id say 400-500 would be reasonable guesstimate for the match last night in Wexford.

I'm always amazed at our average. Never seems like it over the course of the Season. Of course the Derby skew those figures but we only have Rovers at home twice every second season. Pat's hasn't drawn a big crowd in god knows how long. I'm sure we are including Members/Season Ticket holders in those numbers.

That's some % increase year on year for Harps! Interesting to see ours down 24% as well, seems the novelty value of being back up at the top of the league has worn off for a fair few of the part timers/ bandwagon jumpers. Although if we get a decent crowd next week in Landsdowne that may skewer the figures in the other direction!

You heard right - first official announcement of attendance in the Carlisle for yonks - maybe ever!

If D O'Connor is on the PCA steering committee, someone may have told him the first rule of being a subversive is to keep your nose clean and do what you're supposed to in every other respect ...

No figure announced at Pats v Galway last Friday, maybe in 800-900 range. I seen them at Limerick this season, but do many other LoI clubs have ballboys for their games. Not good for the image of the league to have a goalkeeper have to jump the wall to retrieve the ball.

Some weeks we have them some weeks we don't. It really slows the entire thing down without them and as you said looks awful when players have to go jumping walls. Even with them it's often a waste of time as they aren't allowed to stand on the side of the pitch they have to stand behind the goals or along the sides, well that's how they do it in Longford anyway.

One of those numbers in that figure doesn't look right to me. Kids, can you guess which one? Seriously though, it was a great crowd on the night and could have been bigger but I'm sure the weather put off some people from turning up on the night. I don't know what it is about the Av.. erm, I mean Dublin Arena, but I can never warm to the place. Something soulless about the venue.

Derry do, would be a mess without them.
It's a useful ploy to get youngsters interested in the club, since the take the ballboys/girls from different clubs each week. I was buzzing when I was selected for it when I was about eight. Then the mach got called off due to rain, and I never got another chance. Dreams ruined.
It also it gives supporters a talking point, judging the skill of the individual children and whether in they're up to the job.

Rovers do as well, Academy kids normally and some of them make an effort to show a bit of skill while they are at it.
