I'd be surprised if there's more than maybe two or three clubs in the entire League of Ireland that sell 400-500 season tickets.
Totally agree with this. We sold over 1000 this year (prob will again next season) but in 4/5 years when we are **** again (its bound to happen, its the LOI) it will be back down to the 3/400

What would be league average be ? all clubs seasons tickets accounted for , Rovers & Dundalk would be high we would be medium etc . I didn't mean average for each individual club.

I meant league average too.
A good guess for league average is probably closer to the 150/200 mark.

City had a decent number this year too, I don' tthink it was quite 1000 but it wasn't far off.
City and Dundalk combined had close to 2000, and Rovers probably would have had a decent number as well. If they had 1000 then those three clubs would have sold enough to bring the entire LOI average up to 150. I assume Rovers had less than that but I would imagine the average is a lot higher than 150 as every other club will have sold tickets.

Depressing figures especially when the value these tickets offer is fantastic, ours was €200 this year I think.I not sure what the family ticket was but it was still great value for the amount you get.

The serial no. on my Rovers season ticket has been in the 1100's the last few years, I always buy at the last minute

If you want to go through it all:
Rough guesses in my view:
Premier:
Bohs: 300
Bray: 50-100
Cork: 800
Derry: 250
Drogheda: 150
Dundalk: 800
Galway: 200
Limerick: 50-100
Longford: 50-100
Pats: 250
Rovers: 800-1000
Sligo: 250
First:
Athlone: 50
Cabinteely: 70-100
Cobh: 50
Harps: 100
Shels: 120
UCD: 50
Waterford: 70
Wexford: 70
All of that would leave the average betwee 210-245. Stand to be corrected on those figures, but can't imagine them being much higher.
Pats have about 500, and it's regularly about that number too

That was my initial thought about Pats, but figured it must have been lower with a fair bit smaller fanbase than the likes of Shamrock Rovers in Dublin.

Bohs normally 400 members at 365 euro and 125 -150 season tickets at various rates.

Best of luck to dundalk tonight, get through this one and guarantee at least a place in the Europa league groups(am I right there?) But if ye are to lose I hope it's after extra time and ye are knackered for our visit on Sunday

BATE were poor last week. Hopefully it wasn't just an off-day and Dundalk can give them a good run for their money with a home crowd behind them tonight. A goal will do it. Best of luck!
I'm assuming a stream will pop up somewhere, but does anyone know another way to freely watch RTÉ Player's Irish content from the UK? Hola stopped working a few weeks ago, unfortunately.

Best of luck Dundalk tonight. It'd be a proud occasion for the League of Ireland as a whole (don't care what anyone else says) if they reached the group stages of the Champions League, and they have a great chance of doing so if they can get through this game tonight.
Will be cheering them on, as I do for all our clubs in Europe, from in front of the television tonight. I know of a few Harps fans that were looking for tickets for the game, unlikely to have got them though.

Starting XI:
1 Rogers
2 Gannon
3 Gartland
4 Boyle
14 Massey
6 O'Donnell
7 Horgan
10 Finn
17 Towell
21 Meenan
9 McMillan
Changes are Finn for Shields, Meenan for Mountney. They are attacking changes, looks like they will be trying to score goals tonight and perhaps sit on the lead for the 2nd half if things happen accordingly.

Is it weird that I'm getting awfully nervous and excited for the start of this game?

There is plenty of business being generated round the town. Pubs are really busy, and plenty queuing in Tesco with beers and snacks for home. Limited capacity is causing those without tickets spreading the spoils around a bit. Just dont let there be a huge anti climax after all the hype. It is a pivotal time where a win could kick us on to a new level of support from the town with the possibility of indifferent Dundalk folk and businesses taking some notice.

My nerves are ust shredded to bits over the last few days! Its nice to know it is not just Dundalk fans that are getting some buzz from all this. A hat-trick of wins for all our sides in Europe this week please!!!

4 Dundalk players went after the man on their last attack and left Rodinov on his own in the middle. Concentrations levels not what is needed so far.

Absolutely no need for George "Danger Here" Hamilton to be whipping out his infamous phrase there! Jesus, I had my heart in my mouth as soon as he said it before the BATE player stuck his boot to it.

Good to see Martin O'Neill taking in the game; it's his third Dundalk game this season, I think George said.
...And the coverage is gone.

Best chance of the match for McMillan, should have been a goal, let's hope he repeats last week's redemption.

Easy to say from here, but surely he should have just rounded the keeper and slotted home?

The game is incredibly frantic and high-tempo. No doubt, pitch is contributing.

Don't think so, if you look at it again. There were a few defenders around and he wasn't that close to the keeper. Think he had to take the shot on, just needed to place it better.

Looking at the replay, if he had the ball better under control, that was the option - his momentum would have taken him past.
But it was just that bit far away from him and he was stretching a bit as it was; maybe you're right.

Still 0-0 in Hungary with 25 to go btw. So Videoton 1-0 up on aggregate against TNS - doesn't really give anything to fear if they do go through. To either BATE or Dundalk.

Yeah, that's about it. Think Dundalks best bet here is to hang on as long as they can and hope to snatch something late on. They're giving up a lot of chances though.
See they're bringing Shields on to tighten it up.

I think they brought him on to allow Towell go forward. Meenan's been an empty jersey today.
