I just think outside of kavanagh, Colbert and Jason Hughes that there are better players around the town than those who were signed by athlone, these players probably saw no attraction in travelling up and down the country for €40 a week. As for Gary Higgins good player but Boro team is unrecognisable from this year to last year

he must have been doing something right to get picked up by a LOI Team..;)

To be honest it looks like they don't want any Shannon teams in premier.. And while ye have started well they want to try burst your bubble.. What's the bet your next 2 or 3 games will be against teams that are around ye in the table. Trying to catch ye while rusty .. Shocking stuff if that happens..

The only logical thing i can see is that ye have 13 games played whereas some teams have only 11...

I completely agree, Hibs are a footballing side and would struggle to play on the pitches in November and December, that being said, its a joke that they haven't had a match in nearly a month, don't understand how that can be explained...

Its not as if all the teams around ye have been playing. how many games have Pike, Geraldines, Balla, etc played since Hibs last played?

think the biggest problem is team or teams not even down for fixtures and worry is even with only 9-10 games left to play teams will still end up playing midweek games at end of season to finish out league.

Caherconlish 2 - 1 Fairview B in the cup in Jackman Park last night. Lish went 1-0 up early from a bad pass in midfield that led to a 3 on 2. Fairview had a header from a corner disallowed, before the same player scored from the next corner 2 mins later. Was a very even game until Fairview player very harshly sent off for a 2 footed tackle after 30mins. Made the tackle with one leg, with the second one following, and clearly won the ball. Ref clearly had all the ****e going on in the Premiership in his mind.

Great game after that... Lish had the majority of possession but no real chances. View tried to play ball as much as possible, but chances were restricted to hitting on the break with pace. View hit the post, and then a great save in the second half from the Lish keeper kept the score 1-1. Just as it approached 90mins, Lish player hit a cracker from outside the box, after a seemingly harmless ball was played into him. Great finish.

Good game played by two teams who played good football all game, trying to get it down and pass it about. View will get out of the relegation zone if they can replicate this sort of performance from here on in. Suspensions may hurt them for the next game though.

The visitors had 5 chances and scored 4 times. They were clinical in front of goals which made all the difference. We dominated possession but that unfortunately gets you nowhere without finishing. Cian Byrnes marked his return to the club with a marvellous 20 yard drive. He was easily our best player today.
