Totally agree and Caherdavin will not get promoted even though they are paying a manager which i still cant stop laughing about.Im still sticking with Mungret and Shannon to go back up and Granville a close third...

Heard Mungret lost a few players, could be just rumours though, they will still be strong no matter what. Granville are always there or thereabouts. Also heard that Geraldines will be very strong this year

Think thats a bit harsh. You see over the last few years alot of teams that came up have struggled. Dines last year, Shannon this year. We only lasted one season. There is a massive jump up between 1A & Prem.
I think Shannon will hold there own in 1A. Not much between 5 or 6 teams. A good start is crucial i think.

I know a lot of teams have struggled when they get promoted from 1a to Premier but when they get relegated from premier back to 1a some guys tend to lose interest,look at Abbey and Dromore,they got relegated 2 years in a row as far as i remember,its going to be a tough season for Shannon,we will just have to wait and see what happens i guess

Statistically we weren't the worst team to ever play in the premier league.

And right now before a ball has been kicked we have just as much chance of getting promoted as anyone else.

It's impossible to gauge where teams are two weeks into pre season training....
Come back to me in September and we will have a better idea of who is in the running to go up.

Absoloute nonsense. We had 10 training, 3 looking on injured, and 12 guys working or on holidays. The Gaffer had messages from all of those not present. And considering we had 15 last Thurs and the same on Tuesday, your fretting is all too premature my friend. Private message me who you are and I'll put your mind at ease. ;)

Friendly result: Granville 1-0 Cals.

Good game played in storm like conditions. Some lovely football at times with the majority coming from the home side. Our keeper Kevin Mc Glinchey did make one top class save in the 2nd half. We hit the bar three times before Neil Mc Gourty slotted home the winner early in the second half. A great workout for both teams. Thanks a million to Cals and especially midnight for helping set the game up.
