Sky's Fantasy Football show have picked out Brady as this week's bargain buy.

I've had him in my FPL team from the outset.

Only player on the field bar lemy with any creativity. How did trap not bring him on against Sweden I'll never know or Austria for that matter.

His goal was similar to something James McClean would have scored in his pomp (RIP James).

Brady on the score-sheet again with a 12th-minute penalty for Hull against West Ham.

Charlie Darwin
28/09/2013, 2:30 PM
Won the penalty as well, for what BBC described as a "very soft" push in the back from Joey O'Brien.

Shocking dive by Brady, made fools out of the officials. There was an outstretched arm by O'Brien, barely touched Brady.

Robbie by name, Robbie by nature?

geysir

Robbie Keane? I've seen Keane claim about a thousand penalties/frees and the vast majority of them soft claims, but did he manufacture the whole scenario, I doubt it. Keane just claims everything. As soon he passes the ball, he wants it back immediately.
If Keane was in the position that Brady was, I'd have little doubt that he would have contested the ball and made a claim afterwards with his arms in the air, that he was being pushed when he jumped for the ball.

The penalty at home to Russia springs to mind. I was going more for the pun on Robbie/'robby' though. So many layers, geysir.

geysir
28/09/2013, 3:29 PM
Stonewall penalty for Keane against Russia, clipped in the heels and tripped.
It beats me how there any other interpretation. It's not even in the territory of opinions or debate,
well, not after you see the replays.

Charlie Darwin

You've been fooled by the waving arms.

geysir
28/09/2013, 3:50 PM
I look at the evidence and the Russians all agreed with the ref.
Robbie didn't even need to wave one hand :)

Charlie Darwin
28/09/2013, 4:01 PM
He waved them on the way down, he's subtle like that.

Playing left wing back against Liverpool today. Has struggled to get involved in the attacking play, but he was just booked for a dive in the box. Looks like the right decision based on the replay.

Looked like he was trying to avoid the tackle but made the most of it in the process.

The phantom tackle happened outside the box.

No I think he is just learning how to fly!!

Yeah that was just a blatant attempt at cheating, no different to Ashley Young or, dare I say, Thierry Henry. No point in dressing it down because he's one of our own.

Instead of the attacking player drawing the penalty, the defender drew the dive.
Crafty piece of defending, showing his foot then pulling it away.

http://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/Hull-City-defender-Paul-McShane-month-twisted/story-20426233-detail/story.html

Bruce is going to make sure Brady is right this time. A return at the end of the month or beginning of February is mooted. Meanwhile, McShane is out for a month with an ankle injury as the Irish injury curse continues apace at Hull.

Ironic that Meyler has been the fittest this season.

Charlie Darwin
13/01/2014, 7:30 PM
Rotten luck for McShane in particular. He made one substitute appearance when they seemed to be lacking numbers in defence and he goes and picks up an injury.

TheOneWhoKnocks
13/01/2014, 7:51 PM
He lost his place in the team because he got injured too. McShane, Quinn and Brady just can't seem to stay fit this season.

The other two Irish lads (Meyler and Henderson) have already missed considerable chunks of their careers to injury as well.

I thought the worst after Dossena hacked Meyler but he turned out OK so I guess it isn't ALL bad though.

Is there any chance that Henderson will be added to the Hull 25 man squad for the rest of the season?

Good news, Bruce has very cynically left him out of the squad since he got injured. SSN this morning said he was still unavailable so wouldn't be upset if he didn't get on (whereas usually I'd be in tears).

He go on with about 20 minutes or so, your grief crisis would have been averted regardless of SSN misinformed, hope dampner, intervention.

It's looking like pretty much his whole season is going to be wiped out with fitness issues, apart from a couple of weeks here and there. Shame. He began so brightly and I was looking forward to seeing him link up with Long.

That's Brady, McShane and O'Brien ruled out for the season in the space of 3 weeks. At this rate, we won't have enough players to fill a squad.

Awful luck, and doubly bad for the Hull Irish. I hope they just give him as much time as he needs to recover.

Disappointing though that he clearly says he'll only play if he's a gauranteed regular starter :)

Nothing like a cup final to get people fit.

Nothing like 3 weeks of additional international friendlies to get injured again.

I really hope he makes the friendly squads now.
