Bad result for Balla last night. I haven't seen any games yet this season, but it seems to be taking a familiar shape as the last few seasons with Pike and Regional battling it out. On paper you'd have said that the View were going to blitz it with the signings they made (Finny, Tommy, Chucka, Heff, Robbie, Darren Young, Frankie Browne and Rossi all with lots of LOI experience) but their results have been poor. Hard to see how a manager cant get results out of a squad like that! Pike seem to always have a bit more desire to win than others at this level and thats what probably gives them the edge. I fancy Pike to win it by 6 points or so, with Janesboro and Regional figthing it out for second.

Dont think there will be 6 points in it.Can see it going down to the wire with Fairview coming back in to it. Pike will get distracted by the FAI as they always do and if they gget a run in that there league form will suffer.
Regional to win it by a point from Pike and the view.
Does anyone know how Ray Lynch is playing with Regional, I heard he is talking of signing for Newcastle West or is that rubbish. He was a savage player underage, I havent seen him play in a few years though

Or if they didn't believe their own hype.................Well, they have won more trophies than any other local side over the past 4 seasons. And I'd say its a pretty safe bet to assume they'll be the top trophy winners in Limerick again this season.

Will they win the FAI? Unlikely, they're like Guinness, don't travel well

your starting to sound like david o leary when he was at leeds bout how young they were ,all you keep saying is its early days ,that fact of it is ye will have to beat all the top teams to have any chance and the 2 decent teams ie pike and boro ye played so far ye were beaten so take off the blinkers,

If Aisling had taken a third of the chances they would have won by 4 or 5, Gordon Stewart pulled off save after save not to mention the peno. Carew created 3 half chances and scored with a cracking volley to level the game when Aisling were down to 10 players. Ref should never of sent off the Aisling midfielder.
will you stop robbie i recall gordon saving a pen and two shots that were driven at him. he made a great save from a free kick i dont recall him doing much more. and as for that guy who was sent off he should of gone 20mins before that when he was already on a yellow and went through the back of leo wong in a reckless tackle and got away with it. not forgetting what he did off the ball to shane keehan which the ref missed. take off the blinkers

I doubt if daithi is being paid. Years ago i played with him in a pretty decent Wanderers side and he left the club the season we got promoted cos Frawley and Sheedy paid a few players to play....pity really they didn't spend the money better.than signing Pat McMahon (Chu Chu) Dessie Kiely and a few others.:p
If a club can afford to pay people, then so what. Only clubs with clubhouses can probably do this, so more credit to Regional for the progress they have made.

Of course he is getting paid like most other managers in the league, why not?
I think wer gonna win the league this year by 3 or 4 points we had a bad start but we'll come good now
