3 sent off ,thats madness what happened therein fairness to the ref he was hardly left with a choice given the conduct of the players.the 3 balla players sent off deserved to go and as usual balla,s conduct on and off the pitch was quite poor.at least two balla subs should have been sent from the line and one of the players who was sent off entered on to the pitch twice while other incidents were taking place.boro got a few deserved yellows as well but kept their discipline enough to avoid a sending off.plenty incidents and goals but quality rare on the field,t.fahy of balla and t.clarke were probably exceptions to this.

boro 3 balla 3 great game balla had 3 sent off ref was a little harsh wit those decisions i thought:ball::ball:

draw was a fare result in the end we put ye under pressure near the end but never really created anything...thought the ref got 2 of the sendings off right your one could have gone ethier way u did win the ball...the ref was good but showed to many yellow cards for nothing...great win for pike sets them up well 3 points ahead..i dont see fairview ever beating them:eek:...veiw have a lot of work to do...their start was like us last year

Think The View can forget about the league for this season.........I cant see Pike dropping 8/9 points to let them back in (that would be 4 draws or 3 defeats for Pike and Fairview then would have to win all their remaining games).

IMO The league is now between Pike / Boro / Regional & Balla

The Dines need a win and fast to get their season started, or else they could be in serious trouble.......if results go against them in the next few sets of fixtures they could be 8/9 points from safety after only 7 games played.........

pike 1 view 0,pike just about deserved it playing to their strengths with the players available, great start to the league for the view and all the talk about the dream team sweeping the boards this year

Just about deserved it?! On what basis?! Ye had absolutely no possession, and but for a few balls bouncing to your players around the box as opposed to fairview players, the result could have been much different. If ye continue to play like that, ye will never get close to that elusive fai

Great result last night great spirit in the game i think we just about shaded it on the night both teams played great football, ref did very up too a certain point not been hard on him but last night proved that linesmen are needed he was honest enough to admit he didnt see the foul in the box but it could have been a big turning point in the game, corbally and carew had great results last night.

Lads, after getting report on last nights game, I hear that a bit of the dreaded "simulation" is creeping into the local game. Balla player tried to get a player sent off last night after a tackle(slight contact), rolled around around as if he had lost a leg. lets get on with the game and stop trying to con refs. And before anybody jumps down my throat, i subed a player with the boro youth team a few years back after he cheated a ref for a peno.....

Seriously pal, what game were you watching?! Tell the Pike striker that the white leather thing is the a ball, and thats what he should be trying to get, didnt get a sniff of it. Finucane and Buckley had him wrapped up. And, for Pikes sake, the sooner they get Smackers back in goal the better, cos that keeper is shocking. Not able to catch a ball at all.

i watched the game and how you can say Finucane was hopeless is beyond me, if you have any knowledge of football, he was the outstanding player on the field, really showed he's class and why he played the level he did for so long.

I think its clear that Striker 9 isn't Jonathan Grant, he was obviously stitched up. Pike fully deserved the win last night, Fairview created nothing. Have alot of work to do, Pike looked the hungrier team last night and will only get stronger as the season goes on.

I personally thought Finucane was class and as said above showed why he played at a higher level for all those years. Its only the guys second game and he has not even trained yet - he is gonna be a serious player at this level once he gets anywhere near fit.

great game between pike and view last nite not much in it in the end, pike had a stone wall peno turned down, but view had a great chance to level at the end when heff blasted over the bar from 12 yards...alan barry was exceptional up front as was mcgarry in midfield, mullins was class also, view had their best players in heff and willie,it was a good advert for junior football and not a bad challenge in the game....barrys sending off was stupid out of him .

he didnt have to catch the ball ,and if pike are doing so much wrong what are the rest playing at.pike done enough to win the game which is how you win leagues ,take the blinkers off ,thats the keeper and striker that jason ran around after all summer, and how many keepers is that view have used already id say 3 so how many more before they find one they like.smackers is fine goalkeeper but neville playing well and smacks will find it hard to get back in

Barrett was decent up front held it up well when got it to feet.he does not look fit though like a lot of the view lads ...i heard a lot of them are not training regularly.
