Yes, he and Christy Reddan Junior, we were 1 up and cruising and really could have 6 or 7 up when they levelled through a very soft goal by a mistake from us (there only shot on target all evening) and we then went on to win it, and could've even got another one or two after our second.

Still 3pts is 3pts and teams will drop points out there during the season especially in the winter time.

monty will be class for ye at least 20 goals out of him

I agree, himself and Derek Hannon should hit 30-40 at least between them in all comps........

Caherdavin 4-1 Janesboro B

Judge hatrick and Andrew Simmond for Caherdavin. Only caught the second half myself but Caherdavin didn't seem too troubled in the second half anyway. Great start for Caherdavin but the boro will be disappointed in losing by that much.
were you impressed with caherdavin?

Not struggling for players, between injuries and waiting for transfers to be signed couldn't field 11. Tried to get the match postponed to allow transfers to go through but was declined by ldmc.

Shannon must be happy to have first 3 points. Think they are easily the best side in this division and were unlucky last year. Better start to this season should see them win the division in style.

Ya they looked very strong. They had a very strong starting team but also had some fine players to come on off the bench. If Judge can keep banging them in like he did last night Caherdavin will do very well. Should be good competition for places. You had a fine game yourself ;) .

shelbourne

5 players who have played with balla the last couple of years went training and playing pre season with shelbourne ended up signing for them when they were told balla b & c teams were pulled. 2 days after they signed balla decided to keep the b team going. they then went back to shelbourne to see could they get the forms ripped up and they were informed by shelbourne that the forms were already handed in so therefore they had to wait till last night to go to shelbournes committee meeting to get the transfers signed. due to this and a few other players being injured balla b would have found it hard to field a team so got the match postponed

Any report from s ville dromore game?

sville won it 1 nil, dromore were big and physical but lacking a little quality. summervile went up from an early free kick and dominated the first half and the beginning of the second half,In fairness to dromore they pushed on a bit and could have equalised only for the keeper to make a few super saves, The only negative about Dromore is the sideline,a couple of idiots who didn't shut up whinging and screaming for the 90 minutes, embarrasing and did more harm than good imo,Refs are more likely to scre you when they are abused by the sideline

was at the balla b v boro b match.about 5 all would have been a fair result. balla pitch in shelbourne park is a super job..both teams tried to play ball.. have to mention the boro b stand in keeper M.Sugrue...saved a peno and made a couple of other fine saves. not bad for a young lad who plays up front.B-team are inclined too overplay the ball. no need to panic a bit more training and they should be okay..

jasus deffo wouldn't read too much into shannon leading s'ville 1 nil, weather was brutal, s'ville goal kicks just held up in the air & blew backwards or straight out to touch, not to mind water logged pitch, 1 nil playing against that kinda wind for 35-40 mins not too bad really, would have been interested to see how they would have gotten on in 2nd half with wind favouring them, that said ref deffo had to call off the game, v dangerous guy's just fallin around the place could have been some serious injuries caused

Summeville 5-0 Star

Worst first half performance by Star I've witnessed in a long time, first goal was an OG, second & third were from mistakes and 4th and 5th were scored when Star were down to 9 men.

Referee was very poor, and laughed at some players when they asked for decisions, told players shut up or be sent off, he sent off 2 Star players for two soft challenges (one similar challenge was made by a Summerville player 10mins later but yet he didnt even book their player), but then again what would expect these days...........I dont normally critisize refs, but in fairness its refs like this one that would turn players off playing football.

I don't know the ref in question, quite young, and wore an "Eircom League" badge on his jersey, but if this guy has anything to do with the LOI god help us..............

All that said, Summerville were good value for the win and deserved it..
