Worst thread ever.

FACT.

I have to agree. It's all a bit pathetic - from both sides - coming on here talking about we won more that you, our trophy is more important than yours, our crowds are bigger than yours. The facts are that both Derry and Bohs go into this game looking to claim a double, for Derry it's a cup double and for Bohs it's a League and Cup double. An important game no doubt.

Looking forward to a big game with a big crowd from both clubs and a great atmosphere and an even better game, and of course a Derry win! Just hope the weather's better than the last FAI cup final we were at in Dublin.

Yeah the weather at that one was atrocious but if we get match as good as that one this time around then it would be worth the bad weather. Might go....i reckon itll be a good match but all this arguing about which team is better/more successful/has better support and so on is ridiculous....at the end of the day this is a one off match and it wouldnt be a shock whichever team wins it.

So we're into the final week and countdown for the game.

The Derry SC's have tickets for the Anglesea stand so that will be where the more organised Derry singing (drum banging) will be.I heard the Bohs fans were shafted and will be in the grandstand although they will probably outsing what Derry fans are in there.

Derry don't seem to have any injury worries and with McGinn winning the YPOTY and getting a international call up his confidence will be boosted.

There was apparently some intervention by the powers that be within the club to prevent tickets for a "Singing Section" in the Anglesea being sold to fans.

So the faithful will be wedged into the Grandstand

Yep, we had the same but people/fan power won over in the end up in Derry.Still should be good fun annoying the prawn sandwich brigade in the Anglesea with our drums etc,. :D

Think this could be a really close one. I assume there is extra time on the day, but do peno's need to be kicked or is there a replay option?

To be played to a finish, extra time and penalties if needed.

If you think about it - from this season there is a chance of the Domestic Septuple

League
FAI Cup
Tinpot Trophy
A-League
Under 20s
Futsal League
Avoiding Examinership

Hardcore tbh

conveniently ignoring that God-Willing - they'll be there next season thanks to winning the League

And there we go again - dragging up the bloody Tinpot Cup thing - Jeez - you lot sure have an erotic style obsession with that particular trophy - surprised you could manage to get any alcohol into it after the Final last year what with all the white stuff already in it from your fans...

Anyway - I said DOMESTIC competitions - the Setanta is a Cross Association Competition - much like the Champions League, etc.

Okay Dodge, no more tit for tat stuff from me either.

Back on topic.

Looking like we won't be bringing the numbers I thought we might have ala 2006 V Pats.

Although I knew we couldn't match the 11,000 to 12,000 we might be lucky to get to 7,500.

For some reason I am relatively confident going into a match against Derry. Under normal circumstances I have to say Derry have the ould hoodoo over Bohs it seems. However as it is also my duty in supporting this wonderful side we have, I actually think that Bohs will win this match. Boring 1-0 for the neutral. Ecstasy for the red and black faithful.

Do I win a prize for being able to hold my head up without shame Dodge?

Farren to score first and Derry to win 2-0, 80/1 with Paddy Powers - that's my bet for the match

Really looking forward to it, should be one cracker day out

Logan and McLoone to entertain at FAI Ford Cup final

Irish music legends Johnny Logan and Paul McLoone are to perform live at the RDS on Sunday as part of the build-up to the 88th FAI Ford Cup final.

Three-time Eurovision winner Logan will be joined by The Undertones singer Paul McLoone on the pitch before the match to entertain the crowd ahead of the meeting of Bohemians and Derry City.

The two singers are well known to supporters of the two clubs – Logan's 'Hold Me Now' has become the unofficial anthem of Bohemian FC, while The Undertones' classic 'Teenage Kicks' is a favourite with supporters of Derry City.

Both Logan and McLoone have opted to waive their fees in favour of a donation to charity.

The performances will add to the build-up for what promises to be an exciting FAI Ford Cup final. Tickets for the match are still available from ticketmaster.ie or from Dalymount Park or the Brandywell Stadium.

Might pop along to this myself. I'll support whichever team I end up sitting with the fans of (or should that be sitting with the supporters because the true fans stand!). Would probably slightly favour Derry, but Bohs have been excellent all year and probably deserve the double. I think it'll be a good match either way, I'm predicting 2-1 Bohs.

Was told over 4,000 at the office compared to 6,000 at the same time 2 years ago.

Unknown how many was bought at Ticketmaster outlets in the N.W.

Probably the same for Bohs fans (they wont know either).

No-one really knows until you see how many is in the stadium from each club.

Looks like it will be a well attended final even with the "credit crunch"
