Trust a coonagh man to try and get the Cross to beat Prospect...!! Give it up....Done deal..
Ps it makes no sense that St Pats have been deucted 2 points from a drawn game....something majorly wrong...could be anarchy here as its so tight !!!

Lol...well we have to ask. :D
St.Pats thing seems very strange alright. As far as the players are aware they werent even informed about the objection and werent invited in to Jackman which is the case with every objection.
And if you look at Barryks list of results for them above there are cup games included in that list. Three results are against Holycross so which ones were in the league. The fact remains that they had 18 points last week and if the LDMC took 1 point for a draw from them they should still have 17. It just stinks and someones after making a balls of it.
Are you with St.Pats Barryk?

the 6-1 score line was a cup game , the pallasgreen, St Pauls and the Fairview A was a cup game. so all in all it adds up to 16 points. So maybe the league tables have been wrong all along and St Pats should have been on 17 points before the deduction and not 18 points :)

No clue what the objection was about but in all the post on here and from the paper I maintain that St. Pats have played 20 and have 16 points. They have Shels and Pike left to play and must win both. A point will now do Pike when we travel to Patrickswell for our last game. But that is not 100percent. Ldmc are only ones who know for certain.

It is a pity really that Croom won the league over two weeks ago.
I suppose COONAGH will have a handy one Sunday against CROOM.
I still find it strange why PROSPECT got the pts off ST.PAT'S when ST.PAT'S werent even informed by the LDMC about the objection and they say that no illegal player was played against PROSPECT.

Re Crooms recent form - you can't blame the club for giving a run to the players who didn't get many runs over the season, which their early win has allowed them to do. As we all know it's hard enought to keep players interested and training etc
When you see what Kilmallock & Dromore have done this season the standard in 1A can't be much different from 1B. Think Croom & Prospect can give it a good go.

yeah, hill tried to stay up. I think park left it late then to notify about dropping down a division as the fixtures were out an all.
Bad blow to park and finnan not going up. Not good for the amalgamation either as newtown have little to offer from their a team as they were relegated from clare premier....

Yes, but look at the fixtures for this Sunday..........do you see Coonagh v Croom??
As I said, those games will hardly be played now, as there is no point.....Normally what the LDMC do is award a point to each team, when there is no need to play a particular game, unless of course the Hill Celtic rumour is true.......then it could be a very different story, where I am sure the 3rd place team in the division below (which is 1B) Hill Celitc, would be promoted (as was the case when Park dropped from Prem a few seasons back and it allowed Herbertstown to go up as the 3rd place team in Div 1A)

As far as I know the amalgamation is agreed in principle. Only stumbling block is the lottery grant Newtown got. Although I didn't hear that from the men themselves.
We needed to get up this year.
Could have a massive effect on who goes where next season.
Will the Newtown lads want to be playing in 1B next year? I doubt it!!!

Played in clare prem last year and 1b this year, there is very little difference in standards, top 4 or 5 in 1b would give any clare prem team a good game.imo

I have a heard that they was talk about amalgamating Carew and Hill Celtic but its now not happening. They are just going to ground share next season instead.
If there was a chance of it happening then 3 clubs would go up as relegated teams are not allowed to stay up if a team pulls out. Thats in the rules and the reason Hill Celtic didnt get to stay up the year Park came down. It happens every summer in at least one division in the league.
Also on the Croom game, in case Gerrard hasnt noticed but I am invloved with Coonagh and the Croom game will not be played unless we want to but theres no point travelling out there now. We already travelled out there this season twice without playing so Im not going again.

Larry why would Coonagh not try to secure 3rd spot "IF" and its a big if the Hill Celtic thing turns out to be true...this would norm happen in the summer so I would think you could be costing your club a "Chance"???
Surely park will try and win the remaining games...as it is Fairview are same points as you and Park 1 ahead...surely the Coonagh club would be annoyed if anthing happened in the summer and you decided not to travel out there due to the fact that their pitch is a disgrace and caused 3 games to be called off>>>>!!
