I've no shame in saying I think it's one of the best sitcom in production at ghetto moment. It's not the mist original sitcom ever written, but compared to the likes if Modern Family it's positively groundbreaking!
I suppose your a big fan of Miranda too http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1533435/
How the f*ck did it win 3 comedy awards. Look she fell over and her skirt fell off hahahahaha is it the 1970's or 2011

I've only seen clips, which didn't encourage me to watch it. A bit too old-skool britcom for my liking. This (http://www.dirtyfeed.org/2011/01/miranda-catherine-and-andrew/) was interesting though.

something that seems to be getting a lot of love, now it's been cancelled after the first season, is terriers (http://www.tv.com/terriers/show/77660/summary.html?q=terriers&tag=search_results;title;1).

There's a whole load of HBO series starting from the beginning on this new Sky Atlantic channel next week . The Sopranos, Six Feet Under and Boardwalk Empire amongst them. I'd definitely recommend watching Boardwalk Empire.
Been watching the Danish show "Forbrydelsen" (The killing) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0826760/ good show, Apparently FOX have just shot a english lanuage version

Shameless USA is excellent I think. I prefer it to the English one . Frank Gallagher is more sober in the American one and makes better TV because of it. Also its not as OTT as the Channell 4 show. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

The US version is a lot better than I expected it to be, but it's a bit of a blurred mirror of the UK original
US Frank is a lot less appealing too
Finished Treme over the weekend. Really affecting ending to the season.
Started "The Corner" last night, looks excellent too so far.

Everyone seems to be talking about Breaking Bad lately. Must watch it. I just started getting into Mad Men and although it's slow moving at the beginning, a few episodes in and I was hooked

Breaking Bad is nearly as good as the Sopranos and the Wire. That's how highly I rate it.

Shameless USA is Brilliant. On Thursdays night show they had two debt collectors (baddies) chasing Frank Gallagher, one of them was wearing an Ireland Football jersey (green jersey with white v neck and eircom lettering and logo all in white) it loooked good. Did anyone else notice this?

I kinda feel horrible, but I'm beginning to really enjoy Aircrash Investigations, can't mind what channel it's on. It's a pretty morbid thing to be watching but definitely enjoyable. To save yourselves the hour, it's predominately ALWAYS pilot error that caused the crash!:p

I know the feeling. I think it's on Discovery Science or one of those doc. channels. I remember one bats**t crazy episode where the front windscreen flew off, the pilot was half ejected and would have been long gone if the crew didn't grab onto his legs.
The plane eventually landed safely...and he survived.

Started watching Bob's Burgers there the other night over on 4od. Really really enjoyed it. Some funny stuff there. Not wanting to go into hyperbole by comparing it to other shows but needless to say it's easily the better of FamClevelandDad.And as good as mind run Futurama. Long way to go to hit the highs of South Park and the Simpsons obviously. Will sit tight and watch.
Gene and Louise as characters are wonderfully insane.

Watched the last episode of the new series of Skins. Started off badly, then improved, and finished somewhere in between. Safe to say it's the worst series of the show so far, but still better than most other series on TV.
Watched the first episode of the US version of the show. There's 40 minutes of my life I'll never get back. The US version of Shameless is far superior as an interpretation.

One good thing to come out of my free time during the week is discovering 2 good shows.
Billy the Exterminator on Bio Channel about a pest exterminator in Louisiana and Pawn Stars on History channel.
Both are harmless fluff but none the less addictive viewing.
just wait til Storage Wars hits your screens...

Yeah, I watch Pawn Stars. Some of the stuff they get in is unreal. Storage Wars is a trip. The one last night, Dave bought a locker for $350 and it had 12 grand worth of Ivory jewelry in it! Axe Men on the History Channel is another good one.
Finished both Boardwalk Empire and The Corner in the last couple of weeks. Both excellent, if somewhat different. Boardwalk Empire looks like season 2 will be even better (and longer I hope).
Dexter or Generation Kill (or both) next up I think.
Could never get into Dexter. Tried, and it seems like something that'd appeal to me, but for some reason I just didn't like it

Think the american remake started last night.
Been having a hard time sourcing it (original), from the beginning, as was in week 10 on bbc before got a mention on here.
Bbc4 seem to have started with some french thing now - anyone an opinion on it?
Would also like, once again, to mention justified. Seems to have really found it's feet now, in second season. Think Walter Goggins as Boyd is brilliant.

Yep American version did start last night on AMC. It has got good reviews so far. I just hope they have a different killer so I can watch it!
It really is worth buying if you cannot download it. Once you get to episode 3 or 4 you are addicted.
Spiral is the french drama you mention. BBC4 is on series 3 now so I'll probably get it on dvd. It has got decent reviews.
Missed the 1st two episodes put saw from episode 3 on, then missed the last two due to work and some fault with my DVD R that didn't record it for some reason. Anyone know where I can down land last two episodes

Just watched the first episode of the AMC version, and I'm kind of unerwhelmed, but I'm sure it'll go on to be a great series. I haven't seen the original but I'm gonna track it down before I watch anymore of the AMC version, the European original versions are always better (Let me in, Insomnia etc,)

Just watched the first episode of Game of Thrones, pretty underwhelmed but I'm sure it will get better, pretty tired of Sean Bean though.
Season 2 of Treme starts this weekend in the US, I think.

It's unnatural to wait a week to watch a next episode, so I think I'll wait until theres a batch of series 2 episodes available.
I caught up with Blue Murder (http://www.australiantelevision.net/blue_murder/articles.html), an Australian oldie from 1995. Only 2 parts, total length 3 hours 20 mins. It's superb stuff. If you have seen an episode or two of Underbelly ('Neighbours' with guns) then some of the story will be familiar, but this is the drama which tells the story - stripped of soap, understated and served icy chilled.
It might be hard to find but it is available.
Finnish crime drama called Raid (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0229924/) (2000), is a classic of a different kind. Black humour by the barrow load that had me in stitches but also a good crime investigation and a top level state conspiracy thrown in.
Includes the line 'will they swallow, if we say we did it for the good the nation?"

To get back on the comedy I can't recommend Bob's Burgers enough. Currently on E4 and on 4OD. And started on 3E last week.

I'd agree with that, but quicker to acquire them week to week, in my experience.

I've just started the second book Tets & I'm really enjoying the novels. The first book is about 800 pages and even with 10 hours of tv they still have to miss bits out but on the whole they've done a good job. A few people in my office who haven't read the books are struggling with it but press wise it has been getting rave reviews.

Has anyone started watching Season 7 of Deadliest Catch yet? verdict? Normally I like to watch a couple episodes back to back, so leaving it for a few weeks yet before I get into it.

Just started watching the wire (probably about a decade after everyone else) it's really good, I can't recommend it enough. If you like the Shield or Oz, you'll really like it, it's better than the former and as good as the latter.

I loved Oz. I remember staying up til 2am watching it on TG4 when I was in 6th year and going into school like a zombie the next day. I blame it for my mediocre results

I tried to start it again, but just wasn't happening - might've been one that was best left to memory (although I won't be deleting it and will be trying it again). The Wire way ahead of it, imho.

It can be very brutal and overly graphic at times, but it's a great series and I'd have no hesitation recommending Oz to anyone who likes the Wire and the Sopranos.
I saw a Louis Theroux documentary about a Miami-Dade jail and it looked just as grim in real life as it did in Oz.
I watched, and thought it was brilliant, when it was on TV. But I tried to start it again and only got about half way through season 1. Not that it was bad, just couldn't get committed to it. It shouldn't be taken as a diss of the programme - it's still up there, but The Wire, Sopranos, West Wing at a different level.

The Walking Dead (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1520211/) and Blue Bloods (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1595859/) both starting on RTE next week. Would recommend both.

Did anyone tune into Geordie Shore? Some of the most irritating people you're ever likely to see anywhere. Makes for oddly addictive trash TV though.
Finished "Generation Kill" - 100% recommendation from me.
Anyone be watching Camelot on RTE over the past few weeks with Joseph Fiennes as Merlin and Eva Green as morgana , good show but nothing special it starts on C4 next saturday for anyone who has missed it

Cracking show. Really looking forward to season 2 later in the year.

Irritating? The incessant ads were enough. It's completely out of character for me to wish collective harm upon a group of people based on a 20 second promo but that's what happened.

A choice scene there from the original. Shocking behavior.
Clipping innocent bystanders mid-swing is simply inexcusable.
