Not from what I heard.

Only going by what our manager said about him .
Taken from the Cork City fc website :

“he joined Sligo on trial, and did well with them, but Paul Cook had already signed four central midfield players, so he didn’t offer him a contract. He’s played for a couple of clubs in France over the last few years, and he looks a decent prospect, so we will see how he does in the game.”

Of the 5 trialists that featured last night, he was the one who impressed me most. Neat and tidy on the ball and very mobile around the pitch. Not afraid to put the foot in either. Took his goal well.

Fair enough, I didnt see him play against Harps but the lads that did see him play said he was a tidy player but didnt really contribute much, a bit stroppy on the pitch.
But saying that he could well do a job in the first division.

Creevy (apparently), O'Conor and Rusk. Good showing from in nasty weather. Could have had more. Meant to ask Magicme while we were chatting if that was a full Monaghan team?

Edit - Yaol Haro is on trial with us. Must have gotten no offer from Rovers so.

Stu, your guess is as good as mine. Quite a few have signed but think others were on trial.

Pats 3-0 Drogheda FT.

typical pre season game, O'Brien and McMillian (Dave) were good for us.
Drogs are poor, feel sorry for them, always liked playing them, especially in united/hunky dory park, always good trip, hopefully today wasnt the last ever.

John Lester has to be the fattest player in the league.

He played very well and looks a good prospect . He played in a friendly for Sligo last week where he also was meant to have had a good game .He hit the bar.

His only other highlight was when he knelt down on the ground and decided to urinate on the floodlight pre-match.

Played about 60 mins. Looks sluggish yet but to be expected. Grew into it a bit as the game went on. Some nice touches and will definitely be an asset to us this season. Really looking forward to seeing him fully match fit in midfield for us.
