Well well well those results were fairly surprising !!!! Hoping out of hope Coonagh would win but for Cals to take Prospect to pens was sensational !!! I've gone all tingly !!! hahaha

It was a good clean game. Cals were very good on the counter attack and opened us up a few times. We hit the inside of the upright in the first half of extra time and before that in normal time the Cals striker got on to a lose ball and chipped me only to see his effort hit the top of the cross bar.

Best of luck to Cals they are a nice bunch of lads.

Ya that'd make sense alright !!!! haha ...... all joking aside I've confirmation the Cup game is this sunday coming , the fixtures secretary didn't even know he fixed Coonagh twice !!! Oh lord !!! But anywaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay best of luck Jof I cant hide the fact (no disrespect to yerselves) I'm delighted we're facing ye and not Caherconlish out there as that was a game we didn't want. But I'm not gonna doubt for a second that sunday is a very tough , tough game for us. any side who beats the 'Lish 2-0 is a very good side. I guess the other semi final will be on sunday week. I would of liked to watch ye in action but Croom are coming to town. Hopefully we will turn up with the right attitude against Moyross and get to Jackman Park. I heard they added a few faces to their team lately have they improved much?

We were 1 up and had all the possession. We slacked off then and when Cal's got the goal they were the better team. The main thing is we are in the next round and thats what counts.

To be honest if it was the other way around we probably would be saying the same. We where glad we had Caherconlish at home and didn't have to travel out there last Sunday. Should be a good game on Sunday I think. Really looking forward to it. Good Luck to ye too. Hopefully we can keep our good run going.

I was told Francesco that Moyross C signed a few cracking players. One lad from Moyross playing with us said he fancys them to beat ye. On the other hand though another lad from Moyross playing with us said he didn't think much of them against Hyde a few weeks ago. He said they are a little stronger alright but not as strong as ye. I think ye will get a good game off them but I still think it is yer game to lose.

Anyone want to take a punt at a prediction of the result in our game?

They are the favourites for both alright but in the Cup I think we are stronger than the last time we played them when we only narrowly lost, Mungret already got a 0-0 against them and Moyross have supposedly gotten stronger so the Cup wouldn't be a foregone conclusion.

its easier said than done but if you can stop ger ned you take away most of prospects threat i thought our 2 centre halfs did a great job on him sunday and he stil scored and hit the post but apart from that we kept the ball away from him and it gave us the chance to put there defence under pressure they were there for the taking but we couldnt put them away

Also Prospect asked for the B game to be put back 15 mins because of the travelling out to Shannon and Cals and their fixtures buddy refused.

Dident know ye objected to the ref so a simple phone call to yer buddy on council sorted that one out aswell for ye.
One thing i do know from one of the Prospect lads is they asked one of the L.D.M.C. to clarify what was going on with Cals and he said that they never got permission to have their matches staggered.
Also this thing you said about Prospect not liking Cals is Bull but oviously someone on L.D.M.C. doesent like Prospect.
I wish ye well and hope ye get that second spot only because ye get to play Prospect again next season.

I think we all moan about the L D M C sometimes,, but its our own clubs who vote theses guys in,, but if ye want change, manangers and players should go 2 yer clubs reps and have yer say, and tell yer chairman who ye would like 2 see running the league,at least then a club vote can be expressed at the A G M of LDMC

Vote against them at your peril I think is why no one goes against them. No club wants to be the one that stands up to them, fails and gets the butt of it from there on.

Tough game for both sides , I'm sure Jof wil be disappointed with his boys performance. Our lads dug in well in very windy conditions and I must say a very fairly played game. We were 2 up at half time and got a killer goal before half whistle. 20mins left our third goal came with Coonagh chasing. Best of luck for rest of season Jof pleasure to meet ya. we're off to Jackman Park !!!!!!

Mungret were the better side on a day when coonagh never got going, befofe kick off Coonagh lost their center forward and their centre back had to play with an injury, lost himself and the goalkeeper in the second half, in saying that it was a poor performance from the lad and know they will get one more chance in the league to finally beat them. we never got going from the start 2 nil down after 25 minutes could have been 4 we were missing our keeper but thats no excuse got level for halftime went 3 2 down straight after halftime got awarded a pen with 25 left to level it up again but conceded again in the last couple of minutes to lose this is typical of our season push prospect to the end one week fall away the next fairplay to moyross they wanted it more wouldnt rule them out against prospect in the cup theyve added some very good players

Was dissapointed with the way we went out today I must say. We started well and looked dangerous on the attack. Mungret took the lead then and soon after made it two. It was uphill from there as the lads heads dropped. We didin't perform anything close to what we did last week but thats football I suppose. Was a pretty fair game all in all. Fair play to Mungret and good luck in the Final A.P, nice to meet you also.

I must add the ref had a good game today. Refs get bashed a lot on here so its worth a mention when they have a good game.
