Ya have to commend Kelly on that piece in the paper. was very good of him to tell the background of Niall's past but without going into too much detail. In fairness niall was very ****ed off in the way he was treated at celtic but he's such a nice chap he would never admit it. No your right Grape vine i dont think any REAL celtic people would begrudge him this day of glory but for the people who never gave him a chance its a fairytale ending :D . Everone knows how committed Gallagher is and its been a long time but now i belive he's found the right home . Another victory for the common man :)

To be fair Niall was the Junior keeper went Celtic were Senior League. When the club left the Senior league all the players were regraded back to Junior half way through the Junior league season and the management at that time picked the senior keeper ahead of Niall even after he kept 5 clean sheets in a row. It was a call by management and happens in every club when a player comes back from injury etc. It was a hard call and nothing could be done by the committee as their was no solution. They could not pick the team. Niall was a great clubman as was/is the senior keeper and everyone was very disappionted that he left. He was great with the youths and all felt that we lost a good keeper and great person. He would always be welcomed back to the club. As for TK's arcticle he was not forced out of the club.

Chris if its castlebar Celtic your looking For its as Follows...
you will be coming into the town via the N5. First roundabout take the 2nd exit. Go on to the next roundabout and take the 2nd exit also. shortly after this you may see the ground to your left. then you take the first road to the right ( Beside the fire station) Go on till you come to a T junction ( Beside Lybrary) Take the right also. Then just a few yards up beside the tennis courts there is the enterance to Celtic!! ( Castlebars 2nd best Ground :D :p )
Whos playing anyhow

I heard on the grapevine that there was supposed to be an informal meeting in Milebush last night amongst clubs. Don't know what it was about though if it went ahead.
I believe it was a negie session for those who has no better to do than to criticize those who are doing some good.

He would be a great signing and if you can add a few more players Ballyheane will have no problem staying in the SL. Is that enough for the club, just staying in the SL and beating Celtic & Westport now and then.

Have to beat Manulla first and foremost. Hard to compete with the top three with their resources, thats not a lack of ambition just a fact of life.

This jumped out at me. Anything on this since then TB. Do we know if it went ahead on what was it all about. Just interested with the AGM coming up in a few weeks.
I'm hearing of certain developments in Mayo League circles. Just concentrating on my own club at the moment.

Here the trainning is very high standard, by a man called Michael Hastings who making a real Impression on the players. Here there is anything between 30 odd out trainning.each session. They are still looking for a couple good players who wish to join them.
Trainning is Monday's Wednesday and Saturdays at 8pm if you would consider a new challenage.:)

Didn't hear much on it. It was meant to be the clubs banging their heads together over underage football. Don't know much besides. Seemingly went ahead alright.

From what I've seen in the past few seasons the underage structure needs a bit of organisation alright.

I see Derek Glynn, Claremorris FC has gone to Galway United, best of luck to him a fine player but a major major dent in Claremorriss campaign.

Good stuff. A Galway United Supporters Club (MAYO Branch) will be up and Running Shortly so its great to hear that we have another MAyo Man added to the squad. The New club in conjunction with Daniel Walsh (Club promotions Officer) and GUST will offer all members season tickets and buses will be arranged for most home games. Maybe SHINABHUIL you know some people in south mayo interested on account that Murphy is also on our Squad. Anyone interested send me a PM :) :ball:

Fair play to Derek Glynn - all the best to him in Galway. He was a really good striker in the Premier Division but I would have expected him to have been poached by a Super League club rather than Galway United! How do people think he will get on? Its a huge blow for Claremorris, especially as they are starting their launch on the Super league. Surely they will struggle now without their top scorer? They have a good work ethic though and lots of pace and fitness. Best of luck to both them and Glynn anyway.

Obviously you've a brain as big as Robbens b***ock*, which must be really big considering he limps off everytime someone says 'boo' to him.
'One swallow does not a summer make' they say. BH never won a decent comp. and I fear it'll stay that way. On the other hand I would consider the Covies fairly successful.
I hope that keeps you warm when you're posting your imbecilic replies.
I'm probably getting banned for this but it was worth it.
See you when the Superleague starts. Mid table the objective again?

Derek Glynn is a serious talent. I saw him absolutely terrorise teams in the Mayo League with his pace and boy can he finish. He's sure to make a big impression in Galway. Best of Luck DG.

First of all good luck to Derek, thou I think he will need it all.

Firstly to compare Westport and Ballyheane is like comparing Chelsea to Bolton. The resources available to Westport a predominantly soccer town is immense compared to a village with a church and a pub. We have been able to compete year in year out against the bigger clubs and mid table is a very acceptable and realistic target for us. Secondly if you have issues with certain posters please dont drag the clubs into it.
