Ballina Town, Crossmolina, Castlebar Celtic & Westport Utd will win. Home advangate might swing it for Inver Utd and Urlaur but it will be very tight. Think Ballyheane, Glenhest Rovers and S+F Utd will lose.
Dont forget Erris Utd in FAI Cup - good luck in Dublin

no ones denying theres a fine facillity out there and as for coyne and guths leaving the club you couldnt be more wrong!! guths was working in tipperary and couldnt attend training sessions and wasnt bourke coyne had the problem with at all so reno i think the tripe is comming from you and not elsewhere.!!
you got it wrong Gutts / Coyne left Ballyheane signed for Castlebar town.
The reason why they left was because of Bourke.
ur right gutts was working in tip but that as far as you know, I won't get into a slagging match with you.

Narky is determined that last year was his last, but that is up to him.
I heard from sources on both sides that he has been talking to Partry about turning out as a player/coach. Apparently he is very impressed with the young players and especially the management and he thinks he could impart some of his many many many years expierience. I could be wrong though.I wonder would Partry want players that old. It would be like Beckham signing for LA Galaxy but without the money (just seeing out the last few years). :D  ;)

I read in local news rags that Castlebar Celtic Colm Hynes Chairperson is in dierect discussions with Pat Duffy D. officer U-21 Eircom League with regard Entry into 2007 season.
I have been informed that the present structures are been scraped and u-20 lower tier is to be form as apart of 4 division structure, which will lead that only u-20 players only will be aloud to play.
This of course leads to the question as to what roll will Johan Collins will have as they will not be albe to use over age players?:ball:

As far as I am aware Celtic will be going into the U-21 (changing to U-20 in 2008) league and 3 over age players can play. I think that Celtic will not use any over 21 players if it can be helped. They are the only club in Mayo who can compete at this level and I wonder will they bring in more young palyers to the club. As for Johan I think he will play with the Senior team in the Junior competitions.

Its that time of year when poeple always assume they have the story, who is gone and who coming in.
Glad to here you all talking about Ballyheane, for all the wrong reasons, I thought there was a football family out there. But after reading such aload of tripe without any substance in any of it.
Well let me add if players have left, well its time to start looking over your own shoulders, make sure in the coming weeks you don't fall out with anyone.Because you could find them making there way out to Ballyheane. One must bear in mind that there is a fine facillitys out there.
Regards to Murphy I have reason to believe he is signing as a player for Ballyheane with the view of taking over as manager. I also believe that the two lads are coming back Coyne / Gutts, reason to believe they left because of the behaviour of Bourke.
As to no is there any more new signings will all have to just wait and see. I think that Ballyheane off the pitch have been excellent over the last number of years and are a credit to Mayo Football. On the pitch they also have had a proud record, but I think this is coming to an end as I feel that they will do well to avoid the drop next season. If the likes of the above two mentioned players return this would be a big help but KM will not add to the team as a player as he has lost all his pace. Would be a great manager. Maybe some of their good youths will be coming through (if they are not snapped up by the GAA or Celtic) and this would be a help.

yea that would be a good signing, id say murphy will stay put what happened with him and managment was there any rift between them, i hear new trainer is very good looks like the boro will be raring to go come the start of season any team who are super fit are dangerous best of luck to them good to see the club getting a good manager in acting positively after loosing 3 players to celtic, with few additions they will be sound
Any word on any new signings with the Boro. I hear a few Mitchells players are willing to play (GAA first). With regarding the club getting a good manager the last management team in my view were excellent and the new set up will do well to match their record. Best of luck to PJ good guy.

NO there have been no new signings. As for the GAA players thats also untrue. It will be a very tight squad due to a fundraising rule within the club. Also i respect your view that the last management team where "Excellent" however i dont understand how you think this. What "record did they have??

The old management as far as I am aware won the premiership double and reached two senior cup finals (Westaro & Mayo FA Cup). They also kept the team in the Super L. for two seasons with a limited squad. I worry for the Boro if they don't sign new players. What is the fundraising rule might be good idea to implement in other clubs.

Mick Kelly Brought them to the Mayo F.A Cup final. As regards the Fundraising rule players wishing to sign have to sell 5 €50 season lotto tickets or the same in €2 tickets . It might seem a bit harsh but players have to have an input in the club. I have a feeling alot of clubs will follow suit. Can you elaborate on this and tell me what these Crazy decisions are. Im involved with the league at club level and this is the first year the league was run properly. I dont agree with every little thing however i think the committee ran aN EXCELLENT LEAGUE this year so havent a clue where youre coming from. As for leadership thats pure waffle. i say fair play to the snugboro commitee for sticking rigidly with their rules of fundraising before you play for the club.theres far too many lads out there playing for their respective clubs who dont have any interest in the day to day running of the clubs so long as they get their game at the end of the day.if all clubs were to adopt this attitude maybe we'd see a little more commitment to their clubs.as you've stated its always the same lads at each club who are left doing all the donkey work while the other lads just turn up expecting the pitch to be lined, nets up etc each sunday.lads need to get off their asses and get more involved with their clubs.
on another note i was greatly surprised to see westport utd being dumped out of the cup by heatmerchants last week.i played against heatmerchants about five years ago while playing with glenisland utd.no disrespect to the glenisland lads who were playing at the time but we were a mediocre team to say the least and we hammered heatmerchants 5-0.surely they haven't come on that much in a couple years??i could be wrong!!

Each club can bring 3 (?) reps. Up to club to decide who goes - usually chairman, secretary and an other. Each club gets one vote at the meeting. Cross Celtic has the same power as Castlebar Celtic.
How are clubs getting on with training? Very hard to train with the lack of astro pitches hard to put up with. Any sign of Ballinrobe developing a pitch?

I stand corrected on the Mayo FA Cup. I think the fundraising rule is a great idea. It is about time players started sharing the burden of running their club. I know Castlebar Celtic membership is €130 (set by the players) and youths €80 (covers buses for the year). I did not know that the Boro had a lotto. The €50 ticket is that for the year or six months. Lets hope all clubs take this idea on board and we you will soon see which players are committed to the club.
