Mulcahy fitness boost for Cork ladies
Cork's top scorer, Valerie Mulcahy will be available to play in the All-Ireland final against Monaghan on Sunday week.
The Ladies Gaelic Football Association Disciplinary Committee met last night to discuss the forward's sending off in the semi-final win over Tyrone when she got a red card for dissent.
Mulcahy received the minimum two week ban which will expire this Saturday.
GAA I know but "fitness"
Come on
A few months ago i read on aertel "Derek O'brien had a pull last week and was forced to sit out the home defeat against cork city". I burst me hole laughing!!
Was it a sight related injury ? :D :D

I recall poor old Johnny Giles used to have terrible trouble with those foreign sounding names, especially two former Bolton Wanderers player Yuri Djorkaeff who he continually referred to as "Jerk Off" and Jay-Jay Okocha as "Gotcha".

No sign of Arsenal at the top of the Premiership Table on Aertel P413, they have fallen of their perch already, I wonder where they could have got to, maybe Aertel has put them into the Setanta Cup.

On Ladbrokes main page, the paragraph on Pats v Bohs in the cup:
St Patricks vs Bohemians http://www.ladbrokes.com/images/sb3_portal/ie/hp_highlight_ai_Bohemians.jpg They are way behind their opponents in the league, but plans for Finn Harps’ new stadium have been given the green light, so at least there is good news off the pitch. Those glad tidings might be the spur they need and we go 21.00 for them to beat Sligo Rovers 3-0. Anyway, the league tables are a joke. They haven't allocated Wexford Youths with the 3 points for the L37 game or deducted Athlone 1 point and given Waterford 2 additional points for the ineligible player game

Marco Materazzi stands up to abuse and humiliation from individual journalists and newspapers.
http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=42342&c=1
These journalists were content to publish abusive lies for quite some time.
The Sun and The Daily Star settled early this year.

There are some naive types who believe that "journalists are fans too" and its their job to sell newspapers. But that job includes the abuse of individuals.

Marco Matterazi is an absolute scumbag, the papers we guilty of not being able to prove without a reasonable doubt in a court of law what they suggeted he said to Zidane. It doesn't prove that he didn't say it, simply that what he said could not be proven in a court of law as there were insufficient witnesses.
This is the Wikipedia version of events, and if they're innacurate you can be damn sure they'd be pulled down ages ago....
After video evidence suggested that Materazzi had verbally provoked Zidane, three British media newspapers claimed to have hired lip readers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lip_reading) to determine what Materazzi had said, with The Times (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Times), The Sun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Sun) and Daily Star (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daily_Star_%28United_Kingdom%29) claiming that Materazzi called Zidane "the son of a terrorist whore." In 2008, The Sun and Daily Star made public apologies to Materazzi. The Times has yet to do so.[18] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinedine_Zidane#cite_note-17)[19] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinedine_Zidane#cite_note-18)
Zidane only partly explained that repeated harsh insults about his mother and sister had caused him to react.[20] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinedine_Zidane#cite_note-times-19) Materazzi admitted insulting Zidane, but argued that Zidane's behaviour had been very arrogant and that the remarks were trivial.[21] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinedine_Zidane#cite_note-materazzi_ESPN-20) Materazzi also insisted that he did not insult Zidane's mother (who was ill at the time), claiming, "I didn't talk about his mother, either. I lost my mother when I was fifteen, and even now I still get emotional talking about it."[22] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinedine_Zidane#cite_note-21)
Zidane replied that Materazzi had seriously and repeatedly insulted his mother and his sister. He apologized but added that he did not regret his offence because he felt that this would condone Materazzi's actions.[23] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinedine_Zidane#cite_note-22) Two months later, Materazzi offered his version of events, claiming that after he had grabbed Zidane's jersey, Zidane remarked, "If you want my shirt I will give it to you afterwards," and he replied to Zidane that he would prefer his sister, but claimed during the interview that he was unaware Zidane even had a sister.[24] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zinedine_Zidane#cite_note-23) Over a year after the incident, Materazzi confirmed that his precise words to Zidane were: "I prefer the whore that is your sister.

Last week Dundalk were down on Aertel to host Drogheda at Oriel Park on Friday night. Still, with the match moved to be televised on RTE how would RTE be expected to know. As a bonus, according to Aertel Finn Harps were to host Salthill at Oriel Park at the same time.
They also had the Shelbourne v Salthill game down for Terryland Park earlier in the week.
