Heard over the weekend that NCW played a "Suspended" player last week, if true this would be their 2nd time doing this and I feel that the punishment should be more severe than just a 3 point deduction.This has to be clamped down on! I don't believe that a club like NCW would make a mistake like this twice in 1 season and it has really cost them a chance of winning the league as they won both games in question I believe.It has also cost Shannonside & NCW Rovers 3 points which is very unfair on those sides.

They won't get the points unless they objected within 3 days of the game, heard rvrs did but shannonside didn't know so they didn't.

Would it not be obvious that these were the 2 teams that NCW have beaten while playing a suspended player! Totally unfair on both sides IMO.

My point being that you are assuming that Shannonside and Rovers would have won those 2 games if the suspended NCW player had not played.
Those results could easily have been the same regardless of whether he played or not but we will never know. Of course it is unfair on those 2 sides and the rest of the league.

I'm not disputing the fact that NCW could have won these games anyway but the facts are that they played these players to give themselves an advantage otherwise why take the risk!

Glin Rovers secured three vital points against Newcastle West on sunday...another result should see them save and also i can see Newcastle Rovers coming out of that drop zone...if Newcastle Rovers and Kildimo win the weekend then it will be a nervous last 3 games for the Rathkeale club...What would Buddy Geary's view on all the happenin's with his club at the moment?

Looks like Broadford are goin to dominate for a few years if they keep there squad together for a few years Very poor league this year IMO.....NCW only team good enough to challenge this sason and even they fell way short they have lost more players of late so I cant see them being a force David O'Connor Keith Power and paul madigan have all gone recently so they must be struggling... it would be a disaster to see rathkeale go down anything is posible..... big win for Glin last wekend they seem o always do enough to stay up....Any views?

Come end of May Killeaney to be champions with Carrig been promoted?? Im afraid if Rockhill draw on sunday and if Killeaney beat them it will be a bad finish to the season for them..

I hear the player of year forms are due in this week,anyone have any views on who should/could get it this year in all divisions? Buddygeary is keeping awful quiet,maybe he has immagrated or maybe its because his club are really struggling at the moment!!!!

No I'm still here..the first time was against shannonside and second against ncw rovers.the first time was a mixture of when we thought he was suspended and the second time was our club secretary mistake..

Very good game tonight, hard to see why NCW Rovers are in relegation trouble on this performance, better team in the 1st half and defended very well to see the match out in the end. I thought Broadford would create more when they were on top for 30 mins in the 2nd half.Gives everyone else hope in the league now maybe.All in all a great advertisment for the Desmond League.

Rockhill are a very physical side and hard to beat especially up at their place but they seem to be only scraping results lately. Athea cant be ruled out if they put a run together, but you would imagine they will have to beat Rockhill sunday to stand any chance.
Adare need to be very careful they dont suffer successive relegations too. Its very tight between themselves Old Mill and Pallaskenry to see who will join Newcastle B in divsion 2 next season
I personally still think the clash with Athea and Rockhill will be a draw... if its a draw and both Carrig and Kileaney win both clubs are in pole position to go up.. Killeaney have a full squad to choose from and unlucky not to beat shannonside last sunday missing a couple of players...
Great win tonight for NCW Rovers.. the relegation zone is wide open again...With no disrepsect to Asketon but they are all but gone, out of the 4 teams that anyone could join them are either NCW Rovers, Glin Rovers, Rathkeale or Kildimo.. As i said already Kildimo and Rathkeale game is going to be make or break for both clubs...if the winners on sunday can pick up another 3 points they are gaureented on staying up this season...Sunday is the Battle to beat the drop for 3 out of the 4 teams in the bottom.

Went to this game this morning expecting a closer match but Broadford were good for the 4 - 1 win in the end,they played much better than Friday night. NCW are starting to suffer from loosing a lot of players over the last 12 months or so, and look an average side now.
