Could you correct your grammar please. On a serious note, can we take it that your gate collection idea has not worked since ye r having a Christmas draw. The way you were talking last year it was bullet proof. For the record I was never goneYeah the gate collection idea didnt catch on unfortunatly, still think it would be a great idea for every club, certainly every premier division club to charge at the gate, it would pay the referee's if nothing else. Thats life...

I find it very funny that St.Bens charge fans to get into matches, yet there is no stand or any cover. No dugouts or anything and a fan could just watch while sitting on the ditch and not have to pay to get in.

I'll say one thing about St.Bens, at least they had cabins up for the players in their very 1st season back so they're making an effort. Theres Desmond league clubs without even that much even tho they've been around for donkeys years.

I totally understand the need to cover the cost of the ref and all but, don't you think you should save the charging of fans for higher profile games and maybe another year when the standard of opposition is higher. I know as much as anyone else the problems clubs have staying afloat financially, its tough. But don't you think letting fans in for free is a way of attracting more people to join the club and buy lotto tickets(financial aid).

Who was the player sent off

Talking to Jerry Cronin the weekend. player that was sent off was James Quaid.
Our resident ncw player was badly at fault for carrigs fourth goal which could explain his absence round these parts.

Shannonside and Rathkeale should be a good game, all the other local teams have a good chance of progressing, playing away might make it a little more difficult. All the away teams to progress in reidy cup, same in hogan cup. Heard NCW and Abbey was good game with both teams having good chances, from what I was told NCW just about deserved the three points.

I would expect Broadford and Newcastlewest to progress in the FAI shannonside and rathkeale should be a cracker could go anyway....Ballingarry have a tough task away to Newmarket who should be pretty strong....i think Tralee will have too much for NCW Rovers

Ah welcome back to form Leon, nice one, by the way, will you buy a Christmas draw ticket? Just €5, lots of great prizes, call in to me, and its "pony" not poney...
I was at yere match on Sunday Draper, I'll give credit where its due, ye seem to have a good team put together, thats probably the main reason you need to sell Christmas draw tickets if you get my hint. In fairness though ye played good football and could have won 12 2. The young lad on the right wing in the first half and the Shaughnessy lad were outstanding

Yet finished 2nd.

Yeah fantastic results for Desmond league sides, hopefully we can finally get to an fai final. While it will be very difficult a bit of luck and you never know. The more teams that are still in there the better chance. Back to league games at weekend. Ncw away to Glin is always a tough one. Carrig v kileaney in first div should be interesting also

This was the report by 'The1' on the clare page

We played Manus Celtic in Ennis on Sunday. Tough game for the most part but we pulled away in the last quarter to win 6 1. With the game in injury time however a Manus midfielder carried out the most despicable act I have ever seen. This tool went in two footed on our centre half minutes earlier, our player said nothing as the game was won and he wanted to play in the next round, he then stamped on our midfielder in the next play, again we said nothing. He then went to compete for a header with our midfielder which when he lost, he started ranting at the referee about why didn’t he get a free, once the referee correctly waved play on, this clown started to sprint with intent at our nearest player with the ball, our full back, who had the ball around two foot away from his left leg, this ape then left the ground, bypassed both the ball and our players left leg and instead focused on putting all his weight and pace into our players right leg, his standing leg. As a result, not only did he break our players tibia, he also broke his fibula and such was the impact, the tibia came through the injured players flesh. ''This tool then stood up, looked at the referee and shouted, that’s your f****ng fault referee, what about my free''. He then walked off and offered no apology or showed no remorse. Our player had his op this morning to insert two pins and a plate into his leg, he has been told to expect at least 3 months in cast, not good news for a self-employed carpenter with a new house and 6 month old child. If this tool kicks a ball again, then its a disgrace. Both his club and the league should take action in order to prevent this coward from doing this again. I don’t blame him for walking off in fairness, I could see it on his face that he knew what was coming if he stuck around, COWARD. In Fairness all other Manus players did apologize after.

Total disgrace... there should be no allowance for that type of behaviour on a football pitch. Total disgrace!
Bob Boyce/Broadford should report that player to the Gardaí for assault, and bring chargesa against him... should be plenty of witnesses to back him up!
