That Turner lad on the wing for Cork looks like a decent lad.
Also did Daryl Horgan play any part in the game, didnt remember seeing him?
What ever the pundits used to say about the Premier Division needing a strong Shams it most definetly needs a strong Cork City, in years to come they will be the only club who will be able to contend with Shams budget, when ya boil it down its money that wins leagues.

How do you work that one out? As far as I can see ourselves and Sligo have contended well so far with them

No, he was cup tied.
On the game itself, I thought Cork City were better in the first half, played all the football. All Derry could do was try play balls over the top for Zayed (who is crap btw) to get on the end of. In fairness though, Derry were much better in the second half and probably deserved the win. Stonewall peno too IMO.

we probably deserved more than what we got.
This isn't having a go at you, as you qualified your choice of word, but it reminded me of the commentator yesterday. Twice in the first half- once when Cork hit the post, and once when Derry it the bar- the commentator said, "It deserved to go in..." Er...no, it didn't, or it would have gone in.

Have to agree with you here. Not just about this match, but you here people say things all the time along the lines of 'we should have won that game'.. well, you couldn't score more than the opposition over 90 minutes, you shouldn't have won that game, regardless of possession or any other stats.
Congratulations to Derry on another trophy and well done to Cork who will probably be in the top half of the premier next year.

Yep, the top scorer in Ireland's top league is a terrible player. Him and Dan Murray should go form a team of their own.

What??
On the game itself I thought twas a load of bobbins made just about watchable by that Setanta commentator who's SUCH a try hard it's funny.
Also lol at the Cork fans giving out about Derry humping the ball at Zayed. :)

Did you see his missed header from 6 yards out? That moment and the penalty were his game highlights. Did f*** all else.
Still, the history books will show he scored the winner in the match

It is a sad state of affairs. Open papers like the Indo on Sunday and the first page headline is on Stoke v Man U. You'd find yourself flicking through many pages on the UK's Southern League before any good news if at all worth reading is found.
