Just a quick question, what club would be the closest (location wise) to the village of Croagh (I'm guessing Rathkeale or Adare) ? I'll will be moving there soon, so was just curious.

Rathkeale would be by far the stronger of teams in that area and have 2 good fields and a new astro turf. Its a mile from Croagh village.
What position do you play ?

St. Ita's must be massive odds on favoutites for the 1st division title with 5 players on the Oscar Traynor panel....

Ya Rathkeale would be the only option in this case abbeyvale. Premier League Champoins and Desmond cup holders. Need i say anymore.:o

They made changes nearly every ten minutes, players were brought on and off and tried in various positions.I thought Riordan was the difference when he was introduced , he linked up well with the midfield and his awareness caused problems for Regional. He showed have scored aswell.
Kiely was good aswell when he came on. Joyce gets a lot of chances but needs to be more clinical.
Joyce is not good enough i think for Oscar Traynor but if he is interested and the so called better strikers of the Desmond league are not interested in playing well he should be considered. Was Daniel Power there on Wed night 'El Nino'?

They play in Division 3 are currently bottom of the table......check limerickdesmondleague.ie
What ever happened Shountrade? I remember they were a solid Premier team a few years ago....it was always a tough place to go and get a result....their pitch was in by the horse riding centre when I last played them this was going back a few years though

Don't see how abbeyfeale can be ruled out so early being only 3 points behind. Some clubs have been understrength with gaa taking priority , these clubs will have a big say come the end of season and will take points off top two or three teams, especially shannonside being the team to beat.
Anyone have the all results from weekend?

I wouldn't go too far saying congratulations to shannonside for winning the league..only a third of the season played and have 2/3s left of the season to play..they still have to play abbeyfeale and rathkeale again and Newcastle west twice. Dunno about the other teams they have to play.. It's going to be a tough division to win this season..
Finally best of luck to all teams involved in the fai junior cup this weekend :)

I dont think being top with a 100% record after 6 games has much to do with luck!.
I reckon the killeaney ballingarry game next weekend will be a good one.
It will be interesting to see if adares form improves after their loss in the gaa yesterday

The Youth league is turning into an absolute disaster. Teams giving walkovers, turning up with 8/9 players, sometimes 14/15 year olds. I know thats a problem for at least 5 clubs. Anyone got any ideas whats wrong and what could be done about it?
