our tickets are in the "superiore" section behind one of the goals. i think this means upper tier which in a stadium with a running track around it is best. what did other people get?

Aye "superiore" is the upper tier.

What block/section you in?

haven't received my tickets yet, but home i'm upper tier, as the view from the lower tier seems quite poor given the running track.

Lads, has anyone that was originally going from Stanstead to Rome with Ryanair and had their flight cancelled received a confirmation email and refund from them yet?

I spoke to them on the 24/02/09 and they confirmed that the flights had been cancelled so I changed our flights but I still haven't received any confirmation of the cancelled flights. Only for this thread I wouldn't have even known the flights had been cancelled.

Yep, I got email cancelling my flights so I applied for a refund. A week or so later they emailed me to say my request for a credit note/travel voucher was approved. Rang them to point out their mistake and a few days later I was refunded to my credit card.

Match ticket arrived last week.

Finally got the confirmation today! Only took them a month.

I have to confirm the flight cancellation and then request a refund!
Why can't they just give me the refund without all this nonsense?

I reckon we're in Curva Nord. It seems to be the biggest self contained area, i.e. easy for segregation, and it's behind the goal.

we are in curva sud superiore.

The running track really ruins the stadium, seems like a long way back.
We couldve that on a permanent basis if stadium ireland ever went ahead.

Apparently the running track was never used for an Athletics event.

But I agree, running tracks ruin football stadiums.

For anyone thinking of making the trip last minute(like me, but still cant get 2 days off work), Ryanair are doing flights for €177 all in. That's Dublin to Bari direct on the morning of the game, and back on Thursday via Milan, albeit with a long delay in that airport. Im sure 3 points would help pass the time.

Yeah we had a similar problem in that they wouldnt confirm our booking unless we provided them with a tax number (?) and Italian address or something so we just booked it at a train station here in Munich instead. Worked out about 10 euro more expensive but alot less hassle.

just gonna post this up here for anyone who is thinking about doing a last minute job on this italy trip.

6 of us booked a flight from cork to rome on sunday 29th as cover for in case the strike went ahead and affected our original flight from dublin on the monday.
Now that we know the strike isnt going ahead we're going on the monday and its too late to get our money back for the sunday flight.
So now there are 6 empty seats on a flight from cork to rome on sunday afternoon for anyone on here who wants them. all you have to do is pay the €35 fee to change the name on the tickets..:D

We're losing our money anyway so just said we might as well see if the seats can be filled..
Obviously you'd have to organise your way home but there seems to be plenty of cheap enough options left and this is about as cheap as anyone is gonna get out to this game!

If anyones interested just pm me and ill give you all the info needed to change the names on the tickets.
