Its a pity Limerick teams delight in the failure of other teams in the same city. Surely the more in it the better chance we have of the FAI coming back to Limerick?
im sure boro would be the same if they won and pike lost no love lost there especially as certain boro people were saying around town saturday nite that they would win easy

The best ever. What a bunch of complete *******s this james Gate are.Newtown estimate they have lost at least 2000x5Euero =10000 on thre fact these idiots could not be bothered travelling.
Will the FAI fine them this amount and compensate Newtown?????
What do you think???
this is the ultimate insult and the ultimate instance of incompetence that I have ever come across by a football club in Ireland. As well as the fine they should also been baned for 10 years.

a pity it was not played surely at this stage of competition they could have put out some sort of a team.. i'd say ure chances of fai compensating you are extremly slim.. :( :(

Trinity Corinthians have always been a very handy team, despite being in the United Churches League. Not sure if Aaron Shearer still playes for them. Think Eoin Bennis, ex-UCD is back playing with them now.
Tolka are top of the Major Saturday division of LSL, same league as Drums.

Eoin Bennis is with them alright, and a number of ex portmarnock players. they are the one team in the UCFL that challenge nationally.
Tolka got a number of players from WFTA, but they play inter, not sure of their Saturday players but they had a great run in the LJC last season or the one before that. semi's I think.
WOULD ANYONE HAVE ANY INFO ON WOODVIEW FORM DUNDALK, I KNOW THEIR DOWN A FEW DIVISIONS AND RUNNING AMOK IN IT. THEY BEAT KEVINS IN THE LAST ROUND AND WONDERING HOW STRONG THEY ARE.

Is Drumcondra playing Tolka on Wednesday night?
Yes 7.30 under the lights. Should be a good game. Tolka firm favourites, thing they have a score to settle from earlier in the season, when they suffered a defeat to Drums in League. These two sides also meet in Frank Cooke Park on Saturday in League. Should be interesting.

anyone at the Salthill v DCU match? are salthill any good?
Woodview pulled out of the MDL about two years ago and then reentered. They are miles to good for the division they are in and would win the Premier if they were in it now. They have an excellent centre forward and are strong in midfield and centre half. Have a mate in Dundalk and he said they were a better team then St Kevins but then again as is proven most years in the FAI junior the AUL is a very over rated league. From what my mate says Woodview are favourites as Corduff are only a second division side in AUl and that is not a strong league by any means.

On that basis, Woodview are in the 3rd division of the MDL. Im sure if ourselves were in the premier C or sceniro sunday we would probably run away with that in the same manner. Mind you, Shangan seem to be the real deal this season from premier C.
I managed to get the second half of the game against skryne rangers last week and although I didn't see too much to get a good view of Woodview, they were certainly very well organised.
Woodview will be favourites as they have home advantage. It's all on the day.

Considering the two previous winners have been knocked out, and the stronger teams meeting each other, its a model for another two or three pairings to happen again on Sunday morning in the draw.
These would be interesting
Clonmel V Killester
"i've tipped these earlier in the comp"
Pike V Portmarnock
If there were an upset, it could leave the door open for a side to make the final who have never got that far before!
Interesting year!

You'd have a hard time leaving the duff with a result dr mad, we've improved an awful lot since last season, but to be honest it would be great to get you n the last sixteen if we get there, cracking game i thought last season and could have been 4-4 on another day.
we have a tough one sunday against woodview, ok they beat kevins, but that a side they have some decent players, one or two ex LOI and they are one of those on the up sides who can sting anyone.
Then again we are progressive too and it'll be interesting...think the wind is going to ruin games all over the country this weekend.

Grattan beat Peake Villa 2-1 AET yesterday so they're at home to pike. pike should win handy. they're a good side but had peake been on form and had a full squad they would have won. but hey thats cup football. pity a repeat of the munster junior final in 03 would have been nice.
tie of the round has to be clonmel town and killester. town are real strong this season and should win the local league. should be a good one!

To keep it simple, Woodview them selves told us if the referee did to them what he did to us, he would be bundled in to the boot of a car:D
Shocking display from him, however surprised woodview hadn't the savvy to take advantage of our 9 men for 45 minutes "same as kevins in the last round with the same referee" but you got your late late goal and all credit, it was expected once two were sent off.
We could have even nicked it and fairly sure 11 men would have anhilated woodview. if's, buts and maybe's.

Maybe maybe, but a 3rd division team "who boast three well know and excelletn footballers" couldn't break down 9 men for the entire second half, I think you might be getting a picture here.
ps: were not moaning at-all, simply stating a fact. its bonus football in the end, back to the league and bread and butter!

Us dubs have never said all country refs are like this so dont make out its bad sportsmanship
but i would be ashamed to win a game if they referee is blatantly robbing the opposition.
a few bad decisions will always happen in any game but the fact you lot come on here calling people sore losers when you know quite well the referee was cheating is pathetic.
you need to take a good look at yourselves
