for everybody staying in Rimini

"with reference to your e-mail, the present one to send you the quotation for the service you asked for us with 54 pax Bus:

07 February 2007 h 12.00 from Rimini to San Marino and back, returning from San Marino at h 22.30
Price Euro 350,00"

That only works out 6.50 return..not too bad

Not wishing to steal 747 Babysis/GT Travel's role:o but I spotted this post (#218) when looking through the early part of the thread :)

Just wondering Sam if you could see if this is still available as it looks a good bit cheaper than the bus from the Academia. Alternatively could you post details of who it was from and maybe 747 Babysis/GT Travel could use it to bargain with the hotel. It seems that it's a 54 seater which is probably closer to what will now be needed.

Hey Aido

Waiting to hear from Sambu regarding his bus. To be honest I dont care which bus we get as long as its gauranteed to turn up and can get us back again! Will Pm Sambu again and see if he has any other word on the bus. Still nothing from the hotel, so we may be needing this other bus yet:)

I cant go camping ... the last time I saw my tent it was off the coast of the Faroes Islands.
:D

That place looks good actually - there's motel rooms, apartments, campers, and you can even rent a large tent for six people. All dirt cheap too. That's my accommodation sorted.

(And you'll be pleased to know I got a new tent after the Faroes experience myself!!)

AidoM, that bus sounds ideal.
Leaves good and early giving everyone the day to discover the delights of San Marino and still have time for a few jars before we head to the game.
Kick off time hasn't been confirmed but I am assuming it will be 7.30pm or so local time.

Buona sera I believe!
I understand some of you are not def wanted to be listed for our bus so no worries eg Reddladd, Ash and text speak Dub etc :p

Still no word from Faulty Towers at the Accademia for me either. Maybe my email today made them close the doors!

AidoM yup I do remember Sambu92's post and I was PM'ing him about that, should hear from him later or tomorrow. His bus quote would be fine if we manage to near fill it, I imagine we would with stragglers who have booked no transport but if a lot head for the sunflowers hostel bus and then some go with that irish bar bus(which i am finding out if they are open and do one) we might struggle to fill our 54 seater.

Anyway that should sort itself out when we get more info.

I did know "Go away or I'll scream" in Italian but i have forgotten now dcfc1985...

Need to remember folks did someone not say that it s 2 miles from san man town to serravale stadium, so if we go to san man for a walkabout before we need to make our own way to stadium if bus drops us in san man!
Taxi should be ok, but if it is busy?!?

There's a map of the country with a scale in the thread summaries thread. It's only be a couple of miles alright, but there's also the equivalent of the Sugar Loaf in between.

Hi all,
Could 0325422 and Reddladd and others in sunflowers hostel getting a bus organised by a "davide", please find out if davide is bus company rep from http://www.sambianchini.it/en/noleggio-pullman.htm
or it just a plain davide from sunflower hostel. Thing is our contact, davide is arranging our bus with sambianchini.it above and if same guy we can tell him to provide one larger bus for everyone!

This would be a great help, could someone do it?

Update on hotel accademia;

The buses company make that price, because we must reserve another bus for you. The other guests, they have reserved their rooms with transfer included, directly with us in October 2006 all together.* You have reserved your room without the transfer, and now the price for the bus is more expensive for us. We have more guests that are going to San Marino, the price is also expensive because the transfer is in the night and not in the day.
I’m waiting for your answer as soon as possible.
Thank you very much
Kind regards
Ada Foscarini.

So I have declined their offer of the bus cos at E39 pp it is just totally unfair. They have been informed.

Did Davide say what the small fee would be and how many seats were on the bus he was proposing? Do you know how many have requested a bus from the Sunflower?

The GT BUS (as it is to be called from now on :D ) will give longer in San Marino where it appears that the Sunflower Bus will work around the time of the match, probably arriving 1 hour before and leaving 1 hour after.

I think that if things work out with the GT BUS (and who would doubt that they will :p ) there are bigger buses available and maybe if we (or more correctly GT) could arrange to get the bigger bus the Sunflower bus might not be required.

Just saw that the numbers for the GT BUS are at 46 including the "Sunflower 7" and "Murty 7"

What do people think ???

match time of the germany game (san marino's only home weekday game to date) was 1945 UK time, so 2045 italy time. seems ideal. though of course the appennine (sp?) february is probably not quite as pleasant as their september.

also all their games in midweek in the last campaign were 1930 (UK time) kick offs (so 2030). i'd imagine it'll be round then. must check with davide what time the sunflower bus is going. we'll probably not even be in rimini to 1500 hours italy time. still plenty of boozing time though. also, for those of you staying at the sunflower, they have a 24 hour licence for all night funtime drinking parties.

email from davide:

I rang the San Marino football association to ask them about the time of kick off and they told me would be around 2030 - 2100 but I thought would be at 1800 so I don't know yet for sure the time of departure of the bus.
As I do not have the exact number of people getting the bus the price per person for the bus is not known but will not be more than 14 Euro return.
