Sorry WRFC, was out sick yesterday. Watched the lads last night, enjoyed the match. Not a whole lot between the teams. Both sides missed good chances.

Well bishop, i didnt think it was a great match. The 2 keepers didnt have many saves to make. I taught ur keeper was fantastic in the air,must b great having a keeper wit a good pair of hands.

saw 2 of the funniest things ever at a jnr soccer match lastnight.
1 was the performance of ref trevor hoare it was a total joke and the 2nd thing was the finishing of some ginger guy who came on for corbally,when your own team say your crap its time to hang up the boots......:) :)


I saw the game last night and have to disagree. The Ref was right to send all three players off. The only glaring error he made was not sending off a fourth player who seemed to get booked twice before a speedy substitution.
By the way I support neither team.

we have a team of loyal local players who will stick with the club until we do get up to the top division where we belong this season has been a learning process so hopefully next year will be our year, we need to add to our squad just a small bit during the summer. We might not be going up this season, but soon it is going to happen and i just want to say ha ha to wembley they have a team of ex caherdavin players why cant ye just put yer heart into one club and stop trying to take the easy option by joining a club like wembley and thinking its easy to get promoted when really all ye are doing is fooling yourselves.

go away purtill will u, u get sent off every second game with caherdavin heard from some of ye re players all players sent off against against corbally deserved to get sent off. and against corbally they missed loads of chances should of stuffed ye. as regard to ex caherdavin players playing with wembley, they are sick of putting up with clowns like u and know just want to enjoy their soccer firstly and werent enjoying it at caherdavin, then bonus if get promoted and not to be playing on a crap pitch and a way better set up. thats the main reasons they say anyway

believe caherdavin were never ever going to be contenders for promotion was always between the star corbally herbertstown wembley and summerville. as far as i know they have only beaten star out of top teams in the league and that was 2 days after they were champions after getting a spending spree off the club to get drunk and their manager played in goals.they are good at home in fairness but that is because the pitch is very small and tight and they re lack of pace throughout the team gets exposed in better pitches cup final for example

Watched herbertstown last week against wembly in lawson, and i taught they were very poor. It would b better for premier if corbally go up, i dont think herbertown have what it takes yet, maybe in the next couple of season, so to answer question corbally to win it.

It was a tight first half in which not much separated both teams. We really showed our quality in the second half scoring 5 and putting in a great team performance. I think we proved we're the best footballing side in 1A. Still goning to be a battle in order to beat Croom and Herbertstown but if we perform we''ll surely go up! We scored some great goals tonight. Nice to see Peter Ryan come on and score 2 crackers. When he's high on confidence he's a handful for any team.

One good result doesnt make any team the best footballing side in any division, and as the old saying goes, "The league table never lies".

I rest my case.

If ye can hit Herbertstown for 7 then ye should be hitting Croom for double figures, but all I'll say is that Croom are all out not to finish bottom of the league table and in order to do that they'll need 4pts from their last 2 games.

Congrats to Corbally, deserved their victory as they had more chances and played better than we did.
But on the score line it was down to a very poor decision by a referee which has cost us the chance of promotion after 9 months hard work.
Don't worry this is not sour grapes just stating a fact.
Where there any neutrals at the game what did you think of the penalty decision ?
