League of Ireland attendances rise 11% in 2025 (https://www.leagueofireland.ie/news/league-ireland-attendances-rise-11-percent-2025/)
1.127m.
8% increase in Premier Div.
No doubt the Aviva crowd for 1st game was a help. Hopefully trend will continue in 2026.
I noticed they left off the trend for the first division because it’s not trending the right way

They didn't leave that off. They specifically mention it.
Though there was a drop of 5% in SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division attendances from 165,163 to 157,095, crowds for the Sports Direct Men’s FAI Cup increased 9% from 85,692 to 93,672 while it was a 27% rise in the Sports Direct Women’s FAI Cup from 6,403 in total to 8,164.

How do the FAI's figures compare with the figures we've been collating on here ? (Nigel?)

They have the First Division 8,000 overall higher than me, which I can't really understand as my figures largely come from FAI Connect app.

Could the 8k be from the playoff games?
