30 away kits, including some that were never worn. Will this one be as clear-cut as the last two, when Ronnie Whelan and the Italia 90 kit romped home?

We'll also decide Ireland's worst away kit along the way.

As before, tourney will last about a month, and will take us through the upcoming triple header when traffic will probably increase a smidge

And let's get straight down to the controversy. To start off, we've the 1983-84 away kit up against the Macedonia top from 1996-98 (also once worn against Northern Ireland, ironically enough)

I'm going for the Macedonia top from 1996-98. Yes, it's forever associated with one of the worst results in our history but I remember really liking it at the time. I have a very odd liking for orange and fluorescents that I developed at some stage of childhood and never fully grew out of!

Not even the man from Del Monte could like the orange in the Macedonia top. Not too keen on the stripes in the 83-84 effort, but it has has a good, simple cut and could make a decent retro kit.

I loved the orange one and think we should incorporate the colour more into our away kits. Our colours are green white and orange, I don't like when they add gold like this 80s one and our current home kit.

I very strongly agree with this line of thinking.

Luminous is never good on a football kit, and in regular day to day things usually signals some kind of inconvenience or authority figure is lurking about.

It has got me to vote in this for the first time, mainly due to my memory of Dunphy laughing about how ' our friends in the north would love it too ' on the match broadcast or words to that effect.

Bit of a spurt for the Macedonia kit there - five straight votes gives it a 9-4 lead. Still taking votes until 8:30am tomorrow though, and in the meantime, here's a more traditional battle as your round 2. It's the 2018/2019 against the Euro 2016 away kits.

The 2nd one bit more difficult. Probably unfair to put one against the other so early!!! Would go with the 2016, but its very very close. The other is a really nice shirt, the bit of orange on the shoulders makes it.

Yes I've no issue with an orange jersey. But not a luminous one.

2016 jersey for me in Round 2.

Umbro pulled it out of the bag at the end of their tenure with us with two of their best efforts for that tournament.
There was a 3rd kit iirc that had luminous yellow green and grey or something to that effect. Glad it never saw the light of day.

Strong evening voting there, at the end of which the Macedonia top beats the pinstripe effort 11-7. That's I think the biggest score we've had in one of these, so hopefully bodes well for the rest of the tournament!

Looking good for the Euro 2016 kit in the second match, but there's still all day to vote in that and give your views.

In the meantime, match 3. It's the current (as yet unworn) kit inspired by Italia 90, and it's up against another orangey effort, this time from 94-95 and only worn twice as far as I can see but with a 100% record - wins against Holland and Bolivia.

I like the current one. I would vote for the original version against it because this one's an intentional ripoff, but it's nice. Was it one of those US cups we used to play in that we wore the other one in? Not huge on it.

The other outing actually wasn't a win in Holland, it was the 4-0 win in Belfast less than a year after the Alan McLoughlin goal

Current away for me. I like a kit to be a bit different and I'm okay with the irregular stripes in different colours but the little glob of orange on the green side is both unnecessary and ugly to my eyes.

94-95 for me in Round 3. Just about. Weird waistcoat effect was awful but still slightly better than the new rip-off.

The new one is just so unoriginal as to be embarrassing.
