Maybe time for a new thread.
Norwich and ex-UCD winger Simon Power - who was in the Toulon tournament - is apparently being linked with Borussia Dortmund, Lyon, Ajax and PSV (https://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/simon-power-rumour-1-6121030).
Not even the 1st April, unless my calendar is completely wonky.

That has to be some kind of mistake. There were a lot of impressive Irish performances in Toulon but he was poor.

Scouts often see things that the average fan wouldn’t. Off the ball runs that elite playmakers would read but his teammates didn’t. Attempted passes to no one into a space where a world class player would know to go. Sometimes top young players look terrible when you watch them with their peers & they only shine alongside more established players.
Alternatively, he’s crap and just has a great agent!

James Furlong signing for Fulham from Rovers. Saw him play for the Ireland U17s and Rovers first team. Was very good. Serious potential. Might be an u18 and could be a fringe squad member but I think he’s most likely gonna be a 23.
Anyone hear anything about Bolger or Reghba and whether their moves will happen?

Not sure if he's still our player but one time Ireland prospect Liam Kelly has apparently been told by Reading that he can find himself a new club.
Wonder if he's still intending to keep his England prospects open...

Hard to know why it's gone so wrong there for him. Brentford with their beautiful football would be a great club

Zwolle and Udinese were linked in January. Zwolle link was by dint of the manager being Jaap Stam. Stam has moved onto Feyenoord. That would be a cracking move for him. He might camp out near Dan Crowley.

Are we sure he was actually hedging his bets the way MON portrayed it? Kelly came out saying that refusing the call-up was nothing to do being Irish or being English, it was "a personal thing between me and my family". If that means, his mother was ill or his sister was having mental health issues or his girlfriend had a miscarriage or whatever - that entirely changes things. If it was really about nationality and he wanted to play for England, I dunno why he’d make that statement rather than just keep his head low. But I suppose it could be either. O'Neill had a habit of creating so much needless drama, e.g. Obafemi, implying that he didn't want to be capped before Obafemi's agent made the statement and Obafemi posted #AllIn, misrepresentation of the Arter situation before the whatsapp message came out, implying he didn't believe that Robinson wasn't really interesting in being involved, needless public criticism of Doherty and Meyler.
I think basically what O'Neill really said was that he didn't get back to a call or two and then responded by text saying he couldn't make it and he inferred from that, that he was holding out for England. And then he doubled down on it again later...

No-one is arguing that mon doesn't have personality issues himself. But the facts are Kelly was called up by the rep of Ireland and didn't answer the call.... literally.. my understanding is that a representative from reading fc told mon that Kelly was waiting for englsnd

Widely reported that Liam Scales is going to Bristol Rovers in League 1. I had thought he was staying in Dublin to finish a degree like Farrugia.
Could be a good move for him, will have a chance of first team football, much rather he went there than Man City, who he was also linked to. Was impressed by him in the Toulon Tournament.

Max O'Leary has dropped down to League One Shrewsbury on loan for a season. Hopefully he's their starting keeper, it's a shame he hasn't nailed down the spot at Bristol City after breaking through last season.

Christ wouldn't fancy his chances there so Murphy excellent keeper he has had a good career but unlucky not to have been in Ireland set up at some stages

Josh Cullen looks to be heading out on loan again this season - potentially either to QPR or back to Charlton. Would probably be as well leaving West Ham permanently at this stage as it is not going to happen for him there.
Would be the fifth Irish Under 23 player at QPR if he ends up there.

Ryan Nolan apparently looking to leave Inter in search for first team football. Reportedly nominal fee acceptable to Inter. A bit disappointing if true, I was hoping serie B loan next season, with first team attempt the following season. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.irishmirror.ie/sport/soccer/premier-league-clubs-alert-inter-17477504.amp

Nolan has consistently been rated below lads in his age group for Ireland so perhaps no surprise he's not going to make it at Inter. Hopefully wherever he moves is somewhere he can get games and build up experience of senior football at a young age and not be languishing in some Premier League U23 set-up.

Wolves have signed a young 16 year old “wonder kid” from Derry called Lee Harkin who looks like one to keep an eye on. Courted by us for two years and had trials for United and Celtic after scoring a brace against United last year in the NI super cup. If the clips on this are anything to go by he looks very promising...

That's great. He is with us now played in that victory shield this year with Louis Barry. Was unbelievably small and slight compared to everyone else but had lovely touch and was rapid. Played out wide right but struggled I thought with positional sense in that role. Looked to me like a lad who was more used to playing centrally off a main striker but was been fitted into the system for us out wide. Best of luck to him

Kelleher has broken his wrist. Timing is very unfortunate for the lad. No chance to stake a claim for the 2nd spot at Liverpool if Mignolet leaves and the injury will probably rule him out of a loan move as the season will be up and running before he’s back. Due to be out for the next 6-8 weeks.

Jimmy Dunne linked to Hull on a season long loan. Has played SPFL and League 1 so Hull would be a step up.
Was very highly rated at Hearts last season, received more mixed reviews at Sunderland.

Be a real interesting comparison between him and Masterson to see how they handle championship level. Dunne has had conference , league 2, Scot premiership and league 1 experience over last 2 seasons versus no first team football with Masterson a year younger

Kelly now being linked to Feyenoord and Udinese. Either would be good going for a player who can't get a game for Reading. The Feyenoord link is because of Jaap Stam but I don't know where the Udinese interest would come from, might be just his agent spouting nonsense.
Despite his unpopularity after the call up incident I still wouldn't be surprised if he ended up being an Irish international down the line.

Liverpool are drastically short of a keeper and have called in Andy Lonergan to join the tour and cover for Mignolet. A pity for Kelleher as he would have seen games if fit, surely.
His competitor for the third choice keeper spot, Kamil Grabara, has joined Huddersfield on loan and signed a new deal at Liverpool. Looks like Kelleher will be kept around this year.

16/07/2019, 3:06 PM
Lonergan is eligible for Ireland but I think a little past his sell-by date.
Frankly, they should just keep a hold of Shamal George. He’s 21 and he’s a wonderful shotstopper. They’re letting him go for free to Swindon but with a sell-on clause and a buy-back clause. Was really great for the u23s after returning from loan last year...
