And so the quest for the unprecendented octuple beings....
League, FAI Cup, League Cup, Setanta Cup, President's Cup, Leinster Senior, Malone Cup, Champions League.
Getting a bit ahead of yourself there Sean.
The Champions League final isn't until 2016 season ;)

Dundalk 2-1 UCD
1-0 up at half-time; Finn and McMillan scored in the second half for Dundalk. At least there's not that many of our former players to score against us in the First Division...
Sounds a solid performance

Good display by UCD. They kept a very good shape and worked very hard to stop Dundalk getting penetration in the final third.
Dundalk's possession eventually yeilded two goals as UCD tired and struggled to contain McMillan.
Stunning goal by UCD. They won't score a better one this season.

Yeah cracking goal from UCD. It must of been the highest attended Leinster senior cup games in oriel park about 500. Been so long of an off season.
Other than that it was nothing more than a preseason run out.

Decent crowd at our game on Monday as well, as you said it's such a long off season that people are just dying to see live football again and the LSC is at least a competitive competition so it's slightly better than going to a friendly

No idea when the next games are on, they do seem to be slipped into any available date slot.
On the actual trophy itself, does anyone know when it was last sponsored? I have a vague recollection that Calor Gas covered it the last time ? Maybe not. Also, if there is no sponsor, would this mean there is no prize money?

hales freight sponsored it when Pats won it in 2000 before it was stopped dont think it has had a sponsor since rebooting.

In a game that nobody probably knew about until now. Rovers beat Athlone tonight away from home 3-1 to set up a tie against ourselves.

Very strange the tie was only fixed at the end of last week. Rovers played the U19s plus some fringe first team players, Athlone made something like eight changes too, so not surprising we won it. Game against your lot could be good as, from what I've seen, your second string isn't far below your first string.

Yeh Rovers only had McCabe, North, Waters and Murphy from the first team really. We had mainly fringe players and some u19s too. Game could of went both ways but Rovers took their chances. Unbelievable strike from Danny Purdy for our goal. Horrible conditions for any game to be played in. Im nearly happy we are out of the LSC.
Charlie Darwin
29/04/2015, 12:53 AM
Cornwall, Clancy and McCaffrey would be first team players too, though none of them have played in the league this season. What were the conditions like? Didn't start lashing in Dublin until late.
edit: actually McCaffrey's made a couple of sub appearances

Excuse, excuses. Cork would've marketed the f*ck out of it.

Keeping with the theme of this entire competition being run off the radar, outspoken suggests that Longford v Rovers (or Rovers v Longford) is one match, which I believe is a semi-final. Dundalk are still in there... who else?

3 quarters have to play
Pats v Crumlin
Longford v Rovers
Newtown v Bohs
Dundalk are through to the semis having beaten Wexford in the only quarter to have been played

Well Cork are that good they'd even market themselves for the Leinster Senior Cup so much so it would be their best away support of the season unless it was against Dundalk in Oriel Park!

If it was in oriel park dundalk would erect a temporary stand and claim a sold out crowd even if the stand was half full.. even if cork sold out their allocation their away support would be ridiculed as it didn't compare to their home support
