Cunningham is currently picking up splinters on the Bristol City bench in League One.
Good to see Long picked. Even if its a 4-4-2, Long & Walters have the legs to support the midfield.
We will concede but its Keogh who is the liability, not Ward.

Suggestion seems to be Walters wide right with mcgeady in the free role behind Long.

Of course not. Hendrick and Gibson in the centre, McGeady and McClean on the wings.
Walters supposedly starting on the right with McGeady the free role. (source Tony ó D)

So a 4-2-3-1 with Long up front on his own?

Like it.McGeady to scare the bejasus out of them!
Of course not. Hendrick and Gibson in the centre, McGeady and McClean on the wings.
I think you misunderstand the question a bit. Of couse Hendrick and Gibson are CM, but McGeady could well come inside behind a lone striker for a while and Long or Walters could easily move out to the wings. Could be a lot of switching during the game. Isn't necessarily the rigid 4-4-2 that it looks.

Attack minded from O'Neill,
does that mean McGeady plays in the centre?
I think he'd have played centrally anyway for the same reasons as Germany. Having Long up there might help McGeady play a little higher up the pitch.
Ah, others just beat me too it.
McGeady wasn't great as a No. 10 v Germany, but we had none of the ball when he played there. Think he's well capable of causing havoc in the middle.

O'Neill is coy about McGeady's central role.

Cameraman was probably Scottish. Presumably he invited TOD back to his hotel room to explain.

I'm glad with Hendrick getting the nod, i thought MON would have been well pleased with his performance and attitude last time.
I hope he can still lift his game against this bunch.

Two teams that have set ups more suited to counter attacking. A lot of games like this end up being very scrappy. I can see a late goal deciding it.

With Keane and Whelan out that's close to a lot of peoples wish list of a first 11. Whelans absence scares me. Not because I particularly rate him, but because of all of those that do obviously value him for those tactical intricacies not obvious to me.
I Have a feeling this is gonna be a big night for Hendrick.

I trust this is important enough to be within the rules. THREE shamrock emojis, no less.

Brady praising Keogh's reading of the game. It's all going off without the calm, moderating influence of Gilesy.

I want MGeady in a central role as it adds unpredictability to our attack.

I'd read more into his turning down call ups then I would his propensity for emojis.

And that's why you'll never make it as an elite YBIG poster. You don't even go to away matches.

An Ireland match in Scotland? I was never going to get a ticket with the demand for that. I'll be in Dublin for the Poland game with bells on.

Why did Ward head that ball out for a corner? There was nobody within ten yards of him. This guy is terrible.

No, I'd prefer him to have the awareness required of a player at this level to know that there wasn't anyone around him.

Scotland aren't up to an awful lot. A bit quicker than us but that's it.

Lucky the referee had a poor view of it. Long should be sticking as close as he can to get the guy sent off.

Need a bit more composure on the ball. Walters & Long working well together but can't just rely on lumping up to them.
