What will happen in div 1 if kildimo finish top. One of either rathkeale or abbey b finish second and pallaskenry third. Would pallas go up?

You must be delusional if you think there's any chance Glin Rovers won't win this league, nevermind finish outside the top 4, behind Kildimo & Pallaskenry & 2 B teams.

Two home ties, big incentive for who ever wins their ties Sunday

They should be two cracking games on tomorrow especially the one in abbey, I think ratkeale will win and brdf will scrape through also, I watched the game in ratkeale two wks ago, taut ratkeale were superior to abbey but it was poor standard of football , mike Lyons Alan o shea and the ratkeale back four were excellent, abbey looked like a side thrown together for dat game, I'd like to c ratkeale goin representing da lge but let's hope it's a cracking game of ball!

2 good games be hard to call a winner in both, and whoever goes through have a great chance to make last 16

Newcastle Rovers 2-0 Shannonside
Rovers players Aj O Connor sent off with about 35mins to go. Seoirse Joyce scored and podge devine scored two mins later. Shannonside should have got something though. Missed 3/4 great chances

Munster junior 3rd round
Abbeyfeale 3-1 Rathkeale
Broadford 0-2 Ballingarry

Great wins for Abbey and Ballingarry, home ties for both with a great chance of getting to the last 16.
Heard Rathkeale have 4 or 5 being called up to Limerick Senior Panel, this could have a huge effect on their season from Jamuary/February on, have a fantastic panel at the moment but surely will make it harder for them to keep their great form in the league.
Looks like a three horse race in the league now. Ballingarry and Shannonside a little too far off the pace now

Doubt if rathkeale would have that many for limerick , Danny Neville alright Peter Nash maybe . Could affect other teams with Ncw rovers having Ian Corbett as well , seems the limerick football team should be called west limerick instead !

01/12/2014, 4:35 PM
What I heard anyway was Danny Neville, Peter Nash, Mikey Lyons, Darren Jones and Eoin O Donnell ! It will probably affect others too not just Rathkeale

I heard today that Ncw Rovers were Thinking about giving a walkover because they are missing loads of players this weekend. This is hardly true

Be terrible if this happened! We want as much Desmond teams representing us in the FAI

Just read in the observer that rovers will be missing quite a few players the weekend alright. Such a shame

Wont be giving a walkover but we're under serious pressure to field a team. Due to exams and work commitments a lot of guys just cant make the trip. We'll give it a shot anyway

Good Shout

I hope NCW Rovers pull out all the stops to field their strongest 11 against River Valley and of course not forgetting Broadford United against our "Towney" cousins. It would be fantastic if both made it into the last 16. Our league would receive a much deserved boost. Best of luck boys, have a real go for it. After that we can look forward to Abbeyfeale United and Ballingarry when they carry the flag in the Munster Junior.

I said in Sepetember this could be a great season for the neutrals and it is really shaping out to be that way, 5 teams in for a shout in the league. It's also very hard to tell who will go down.

Good Shout
08/12/2014, 10:53 AM
Really terrible result for the Rovers, 7.1 is a real humiliation not just for the club but the league as well, and Rovers one of the front runners in the PL. Broadford to go to Limerick as champions and get well beaten as well, not a great sign for the Desmond then is it? This league is getting exciting, Rathkeale look to be floundering, too many GAA players me thinks. Broadford may find it difficult to retain their title. What odds on Abbeyfeale United to capitailse or what of Ballingarry, could they sneak up on the blind side? Half the season gone already for most of these teams, the team that can put a run of four or five wins in a row now will take beating.

sportsfanatic

I agree Good Shout, I think the likes of Ballingarry and Abbey will have a big influence on the league this more so than other years, they both look strong this year, and with Rathkeale losing players to football and Rovers losing 2 or 3 it could make the league wide open!

fanaticfan
08/12/2014, 3:10 PM
Ballingarry are on a good run but they won't win no league in my opinion. I think Abbeyfeale have the best squad and will win the league. Too early yet though

sportsfanatic
08/12/2014, 3:23 PM
Abbey definitely have the best squad, hopefully they can get a good run especially away from home as they have sometimes struggled in the past! Ballingarry have a great team and have been going well, they were unlucky to draw against Rovers and lose to Abbey conceding very late in both games. If they keep going the way they are now they have as big of a chance as the others

Would it be a good call to call off all games early in advance. I see all the Limerick District games have been called off

Newcastle Rovers 2-6 Rathkeale.

Ballingarry 0-4 Newcastle West.

Broadford 4-2 Killeaney

Brilliant results for Ncw against ballingarry and rathkeale against rovers. Heard killeaney were up 2-0 against Broadford at half time.
Any reports on any games?

Kildimo 3-1 pallas.
Pitch was very sticky. Pallas missing one or two key players but so were kildimo. Good win for kildimo. Looks like glin and kildimo will be going up

What happened to rovers and ballingarry yesterday? Is rovers bubble well and truly burst, ballingarry were on a great run, have Newcastle West got more players back or what? Who'll go down? I still fancy broadford to win the league. Most consistent side in the league and that's what wins it.

Was at the Rovers game on Sunday and don't know what to make of it... either Rathkeale played really well or Rovers were poor.
Rathkeale won easy and could have won by more. Very quick breaking and good finishers. A bit too easy for Rathkeale. Agree with you KnowItAll Broadford favourites but still a long way to go yet thoughand as they say no league is won before Christmas.
On a different note anyone know when the Oscar Traynor team are playing? or is the game fixed for this side of the new year?

knockaderry player stretchered off with a knee injury.yeah askeaton look like they will be there at the shake up but breska look good to top division two.Two teams who would not be out of place in division one in fairness.

Happy Christmas to all the clubs out there. An exciting 1st half of the season with many strange results and some great performances.

Predictions
Premier winner Rathkeale Runner up Broadford. again i think this will go down to the wire and who ever gets the 4 points out of these 2 games between them will win the league. Abbey will be up there but i think these 2 teams will be the stronger

Division 1
I think this is a 4 way tie between the yop 4 now. Rathkeale B Kildimo Glin Abbey B. i think this can go anyway with these 4 and its a hard 1 to call but 1 would think that glin could possibley have the stronger side to win the league but again it is extremly close

Division 2
Breska look to be nailed on to win the league a solid enough team if they can get to march with the majority of games in the league played i think they will win it. Askeaton are knocking on the door with 2 games in hand but i think Granagh deserve a shot in Div 1 they have been knocking on the door for a couple of years now
