Probably be good at junior level but I think his LOI days are numbered. I don't think too many in the LOI would be interested in signing him so Pike is a likely destination and a good one for him if he wants to win a few things before hanging up his boots.

Paul Doona would be a good signing but if he wasn't to make the first team regularly it would be a waste of talent.

What's the story with fairview heard there struggling big time but maybe only rumour??

If what i have heard is true Fairview could be relegated this year.Have lost nearly every player they had fromlast season.

Are you saying he wouldn't do a job for limerick??hes as good as what's there at the moment.

No don't think he would. Have to disagree that he is as good as whats there at the moment. He was very poor the last time with us which was disappointing as most had big hopes he would be a big player for us and I think our full backs and wingers are good young players who would start a head of him. The two Tracey's, Sean brosnan, Shaun Kelly, james Mcgrath and even judge would all start a head of him. The only place we are weak at the moment is centre back and he certainly couldn't play there.

Fairview will be strong this year, regional are keeping a low profile have they brought anyone new in.

totally agree with jofsprings assessment of bobby ryan.if the kilmallock lads have signed for pike they will certainly strenghten the squad though will hardly improve the team, time will tell on their contribution.while it is great to see dermot back at the view, they could struggle without some leaders in the team, does anyone know if buckley is staying with them?

big losses for kilmallock.
would agree with fairkop,to a certain extent, think the centre half will defo start, with doona having a good chance also.

centre half will find it very hard to get in instead of enright or mullins

Ya he has been in and out of the first time alright getting plenty of game time over the last few months. He is still pretty young and light so i'd say he will continue to be in and ot for the rest of this season. He scored two goals on is debut.

Chucka has retired along with Paul Harman. Have also been told that only Mike Ryan, Willie O Brien and Brian Fitz are the only players from last year that will sign. Tough times ahead for the club but those in the know will know its been coming a while. Time to rebuild with youth but could mean a season or 2 in 1A. Who would have said that a few years back.

Your tellin me so that Geraldine's, park , ashling , cobally and the likes will pick up more points than fair view ?? Can't see it, the jersey alone is worth a goal in every game, obviously theres issues there, but I couldn't see that club in 1a any time soon.

believe half of what you see and none of what you hear my friend.
the team will be a lot younger, but they will be fine.
also there is a lot more of last years panel back...not just the three named.

those kilmallock lads will play games ok....those games squads are used for i would think.huge loss to kilmallock though, could result in other players leaving that club so they could be in a battle to maintain premier status, fairviews iconic lofty perch amongst the games elite has slipped in recent years and the ....jersey alone is worth a goal....is now nothing but a myth, plenty teams will be willing to drown fairview this season especially in their own backyard .if buckley is not to play only makes things worse, presently.

the rovers fixture looks promising, would assume its the 19s coming down as rovers have two important fixtures that week and the 19s league starts the following week, should be a good game, hopefully better than the athlone effort.

You jealous Topper, that you never got to play in any big games like these, seems like it.Well done to Pike on a prestigious friendly, you'll always get the knockers but I'm sure yere a lot bigger than that to be listening to them or taking notice of them.

Shamrock Rovers are playing Sligo on telly on Monday the 13th in a match that will be their last chance of going for the league so I doubt it will be Shamrock Rovers first team playing the night before. Maybe a mix of fringe first teamers and 19's players.

Agreed, they have one of the best under 19's team in the country and their fringe players would start with most other LOI teams.

LOL you Do know that the game was two half hours with 8 subs used with both managers away on holidays I wouldn't read to much into a friendly game. AS for people saying carew will challenge pike and boro that's peoples opinion. TO win the league you prob have to win 21 out of 22 games can carew do that IMO no

I'd say it's possibly a case of the lads who have left might feel they have gotten as far as they can go with a mid table finish for kilmallock last year, they prob want to challenge for trophies while there still young and have the interest, saints and pike are always at the business end of The big trophies even if they don't win them

They won't take points off of any of the big 2,both have strengthened their squads and are stronger than last year ,Carew have lost 1 or 2 so if they couldn't do it last year, most certainly can't see them doing it this year, that's just my opinion.theyll finish a good 3rd again, dont think there's anyone there to challenge them for 3rd.but you never know do ya.

Carew lost nobody from last season strengthened a bit alright but the hardest step to make is breaking the top two very difficult to do.

How are Geraldines and Hibs shaping up any new signings? Think Geraldines will take points off a few teams and should stay up, Hibs all depends on if theay added to their squad only saw them twice last year.
Watched Geraldines against Lifford last night and thought they looked sharp in the second half.
Interesting times for the newbes

There is alot worst people involved with junior clubs in this town than Albert,he was one of the best midfielders in limerick over the last 15 years,he was a very hard player and a top bloke, and for u to come on here and make a statement like that is rubbish,,
