Shot stopping Is the easiest part of being a keeper, it's the other stuff that makes keepers great, kicking, distribution, handling, dealing with crosses etc!! I still see only Gordon and Bennis up to last yr as competent keepers in most of these departments.

Lads, ye are spot on .... It's good to see some good young keepers on the scene... Young Stewart ..Ronan Power... Another younger lad Tadgh Ryan....He's in the GK academy on Tuesdays....It's good for a change to be talking about keepers....oh..!!! Gary Neville still a young keeper...seems to ba around a while....Did he have a trial in Swindon....? He is someone who should be around for years to come....everything going for him....

i see o donnell sent off for the 2nd time in a week for the dines tonight.. people tout him about for one of the big jobs in town but dont think he has the temperment for one of them didnt see last weeks incident but lost the plot tonight although the ref was exceptionally poor tonight..

This has to be a laugh,look what he has done with the dines in two seasons.won division 1 last year and stand 3 rd at the moment in the premier league,from time to time most managers over react.and get send off,will it affect your team??, should not,silly post!!...

hefty ban so and a massive phone bill what with communication now coming from behind the ditch in rathuard.tbf he has done alright at gerildines.

What do you think of the fixtures for Monday js.when the majority of the OT panel are made up of Pike and Carew players and have now to play sat night and Monday morning.it's gone beyond a joke at this stage.wouldn't blame players for pulling out of OT panel if that's what's gonna happen them.Get fixtures played at all cost.unbelievable Jeff.

Cheers bud.. We partied hard Thursday night.. I think with the lads that are over the team now we will be in a better position to compete than last year..promoted first season as manager.. Our very own Jose Manahan!! On a side note, remembering Gerry mana more than ever this week, he was the catalyst for this club, and with his son now managing us along with Shine, we hope to only improve next yr

Carew are away to Gearldines,home to pike and away to Wembley and corbally.

Agree pike and Carew huge game on Sunday.but Geraldines gave up home advantage as well but Carew was unplayable as well.and I believe Shannon hibs gave up home advantage as well early on in the season.so where's your stand on that.balla just want their season over I presume.

agree with you, they should have cooperated with denis and went over the fence,but a more pressing matter was the treatment of referee donal power going in at halftime, no place whatsoever on a football field for the threats and abuse that man got ,

What was said to the referee has been said at 99% of junior matches to refs in this town,as for the so called threats you speak about,it clearly states in the refs rule book that any ref that is assaulted or threats are made against him or he's assistants the game will be immediately called to a halt.I rest my case.

donal was refusing to come out for the second half, the man was trembling in fear in at halftime and no one from pike would have blamed him if he had gone home,absolute disgrace, i will say that the majority of this mob prob are not even involved with carew but the manager didnt help it with his carry on going across the field either

Was at the game and didnt know anything happined to the ref,taught Donal did a fine job but why was there not linesmen there to help him for a game of that importance?

Donal got some amount of abuse from 2 people as he went into the dressing room at half time, then the blonde girl involved with Carew came out and told the 2 people who were giving abuse to give over or the ref was not going to come out for the second half and rightly so , no one deserves that abuse, a heated exchange of words then broke out between the girl and the 2 blokes, she said if they didn't stop abusing the ref they would be thrown out of the ground and 1 of them said no-one is throwing me out, it took another bloke in a carew tracksuit to ASK them to stop, these 2 people have nothing to do with Carew Park.
